Odawa Hotel

We stayed here for two nights as part of a family vacation. It had great reviews and good rates. We rented the premium bay view king suite with sofa bed. The room itself was clean. It was big and comfortable and the view was magnificent. So why my bad rating? It smelled like an ash tray. Not like the customer before smoked a few ciggies. Like a 1970's smoking lounge. Tar. This is a family staying here. So, I immediately called the front desk to complain. Was told very nicely that they were sold out. Man was very apologetic. So we bummed around town until sleep time just because the smell was so overwhelming. Next day, I went right down to the desk. I wanted a different room for the next night. Matt couldn't have cared less. Now, we all woke up coughing and my asthma flared. He did not care. Just kept repeating there was nothing he could do but send housekeeping with spray. Then looked at me like I was the problem. Terrible tone. No discount offered. I spoke to housekeeping. They said the spray wouldn't do anything, it needed strong chemical removal, which takes 24 hours without someone in the room. I had bought spray the first night. Did nothing. So once again, we had to stay out of the room from wake up to sleep, on a somewhat rainy day, just to breathe properly. I had to throw away the pillows I brought when I got home. And had a ton of extra laundry as everything needed a wash. Unacceptable customer service! Don't get room 519!

Great place. Only issue was the teen kids making noise after 10 pm.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We’re traveling with a 4mo old and a 2 year old. Staff went out of their way to help make the kiddos happy; from family friendly restaurant suggestions to preparing a couple of pancakes for our 2yo at the breakfast buffet on a day that they weren’t being served. Very happy with our stay.

Amazing! Weather was gorgeous and family time....priceless!

The sound proofing is very poor at this hotel. I heard the couple next door fighting, their kids yelling. I turned the TV up loud to drown them out.

This is my 2nd stay at the hotel over the last year and I found it to be convenient, safe, cost effective, and clean facility. I recommend it for business travelers as well as families because of the pool and included breakfast.

The bathroom was dirty. We asked for it to be recleaned and it was still dirty after. No other rooms were available. The tub was so disgusting we couldn't give our children baths.

It was a nice place and a staff was very pleasant but a little slow. Even though I called three times it took until 1:00 to quiet down The kids in the room above us. Also I was disappointed that there was not coffee available all day.

We had a child that got sick in the middle of the night and all the staff were very helpful and accomodating to make the situation less stressful!

Love staying here. Clean, comfortable, pool & hot tub, breakfast and shuttles to the casino. It's also close to restaurants, ski resorts and downtown. Nice stay for couples, friends and is also family friendly.
