We chose this hotel because its animal friendly, and has 9+ rating. When we checked in initially the lady was on the phone trying to settle something and as if we did not arrive and stayed on the phone for awhile. We checked in on welcoming words or explained where are the pool located or time of breakfast etc. Its our 1st time in manistee area so we asked her what are nice places to do? She replied , she is not frim the area so she is not familiar to places 😗. So we thought the rating was over rated. We ate in the restaurant the lady that served us is very friendly and willing to converse and we discovered that this hotel is family friendly and has some family board game etc. The nice vacation starts there. Its homey ambiance and friendly people. It feels like family owned business. Thank you so much!!! To all staff who made our stay comfort. Oh the BED was awesome soft and comfortable and the pillows are soft too whick most hotel has bulky and hurts my neck. Theirs is not. Small bathroom, and the room is basic but still nice service.

We were in the 2nd floor and until 11pm we had to listen to loud thumping bass, screeching live music, and drums.... the website says come for a relaxing time.... yeah right..... right outside our window was the back of the hotel and that's where the live music started until the rain started then it came inside and was below us. No concern for guests trying to relax or sleep.... also the beds here are extremely broken down and if sleeping 2 people to a bed you will end up both in the middle because the mattress is junk. The 'continental breakfast' was a joke.... no warm food minus a waffel maker and chex cereal is the only option for gluten free needs..... just overall a terrible experience for what should have been a fun relaxing weekend... never going back here, never recommending it to friends or family

This is such a nice hotel! The only thing we were bummed about is that we did not have MORE time to spend there. It's really in a beautiful location. Two of our family members enjoyed golf and that was a nice experience. The room was nice. They made it easy to rent a cot as well when the kids were getting at each other. The facilities are great, check-in was easy, and the staff was friendly. Also, everyone really liked the breakfast overall! We're looking forward to going back again next summer.

The rooms are spacious and accommodating. Adjoining rooms are always a nice perk and while the indoor pool was chilly, the hot tub was the perfect temperature for our whole family to enjoy.

Nice resort however food service was minimal. Food service at offsite restaurant The Grill was not great. And they werent bust. Wait staff standing around? Slow to bring out food. Complimentary breakfast at resort was muffins, bagels and beverages. Two pools and jacuzzi. All was great when not occupied by noisy families. Golf course is beautiful. Clean rooms lacking amenities.

There was only two people on staff between front desk, bar, and kitchen but they were incredibly kind and helpful despite being very busy. Room was clean and comfortable. Indoor pool and hot tub was very nice. My kids enjoyed the ping pong table. They have deep dish pizzas made to order in the bar area. My son did find hair in the dough of his pizza. Breakfast area was clean and comfortable, pretty basic options with no hot food available.
