Holiday Inn Express And Suites Brighton, an IHG Hotel

When we got there, there was dirt and hair in the bottom of our shower, clearly it wasn’t cleaned. We called the front desk and they called the GM to get someone in there to clean it. We waited 4 hours, had to remind them about it, then someone finally came in and cleaned everything in the bathroom, aside from the shower. Our TV seemed to be the only TV in the hotel that wasn’t working. We had 4 channels, all of which were paid programming. We had 2 kids with us with a group of people for travel ball so we had lots of rooms to compare ours to, we even paid extra for a suite. Would not return to the property again

Unfortunately, the hotel was booked for families staying for children sports tournaments in the area. The parents did suoervise their children and drank heavily in the lobby, the ran children ran amuck, and there were insufficient staff to address the problem. On entry to the hotel, it was concering as unsupervised children were behaving weirdly in the window and this was visible to any one entering the front lobby from the parking lot. All night there were children jumping in the room above me and very loud drinkers in the lobby that was near my room. There were no rooms for me to move to. Ill never stay there again.

My family and I have stayed at property several years in a row. It is always clean and the rooms are nice. I like the dove soaps and shampoo/conditioner at the sink and in the shower. I also like having a microwave, refrigerator, iron and ironing board in the room. Free breakfast, coffee and hot chocolate are nice perks too. Only negatives: our king bed was hard, and when I went in to other families rooms their queen beds were really nice and soft and cozy. No problem, I’ll just get a double room if I stay again. The other negative the pool water was too cold to swim. I saw other people swimming and it didn’t bother them, but I’m a wimp :). I was surprised with all the people swimming that it didn’t warm the water. My niece was disappointed that I didn’t swim with her. But overall, a very nice hotel and it deserves 5 stars.

Rented 2 rooms for 2 days in my own hometown for a fun getaway with my grandkids. The Pool was SO cold my grandsons lips turned blue! Beautiful facility and great service but my personal stay was ruined due yo the freezing pool .

We live in northern MI and when we visit family or fly out of Detroit we book a stay at this delightfully clean hotel. After a long day of flying and changing planes always so nice to know we will have a really comfortable and clean bed to sleep in before we drive North. So far so great. Keep up the good work.

We stayed a couple of nights as part of a brief vacation/family outing. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and the bed was wonderful! ... The breakfast was enjoyable with a lot of options and the workers kept up with keeping everything pretty well stocked .... I would definitely stay there again

The pool was great for short laps and fun with kids. Breakfast wonderful. Pancake maker, eggs, sausage and cinnamon rolls

Everyone was friendly and nice, rooms were clean and spacious, and it looked recently renovated. My kids loved the hotel and our stay. The only thing we didn’t like was the pool was cold and so was the pool room temperature was on the chilly side.

We were extremely disappointed that the pool was closed, it was the only reason I chose this hotel for family.

The only reason I booked this room for family was the pool, which was closed during their stay. That was a huge disappointment.
