Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel by Wyndham Ocean City Oceanfront

Unfortunately the rooms were very small and the beds were even smaller . The staff was amazing and went out their way for me and my family. Unfortunately the bathrooms in the room were dirty when we got there and the rooms had a little smell to them .

Let's start out and say the staff was very informative, polite, and professional also the property in and around the rooms are very clean. The restaurant/bar in the hotel has a great atmosphere and surprisingly good tasting food. My only complaints are there's only 2 elevators and they're slow moving. The bathroom area is small and the room's walls are so thin you can hear the TV in the room beside you. Also there is no bathroom in or around the pool/Jacuzzi area so all the kids seem to just (go) into the pool. If you need to use the bathroom you have to go back to your room.The pool was very cloudy but is well heated. All in all it was a good place to stay at.

I had a great experience from check in to check out. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, comfortable and clean. I opened the curtains to FULL ocean view. Completely mesmerizing and serene. The balcony was very nice and inviting. My only issue was the seagull that thought he rented the room as well. Once he went on his way, I could enjoy all its beauty. Would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning either solo or with family.

We got there and the front desk clerks was great and checking in was awesome the 2 girls were great the rooms were clean and and kept up and the pool was great this hotel will be our family hotel from now on love it

We stayed 2 nights for a cheer competition. The property was well kept with nice amenities. My kids enjoyed the indoor pool and I enjoyed the hot tub. We will definitely return hopefully during the summer season.

Hotel is above the cut when it comes to your typical boardwalk hotel. It’s clean and staff are excellent. Our room did reak of weed the second night but that’s the fault of our neighbors. The room was decorated so nicely and included some flowers, chocolate and wine. The vouchers were wonderful and we explored OC with them. I hope you have a special like this again. We got away from work and kids for a few days to just enjoy ourselves and the city. Thank you, we appreciate all of your hard work

I would like to share that this is probably the cleanest motel I have ever stayed at. The only problem I had was the pool area and the jacuzzi. Because of the weather, I took my three grandchildren to the pool and the jacuzzi was so dirty that it looked green and had sand in it. The pool was not cleaned the two days we were there and the same ponytail was there both days. I'm not sure why considering the rooms were awesome.

My husband and I went to Ocean city spontaneously after our wedding. And I was searching on hotels.com for a hotel that was along the boardwalk and with ocean view. And I came across Howard Johnson Plaza. They had 2 rooms left. So I decided to book it. In the special request box, I requested a room with an ocean view, the lady messaged me back almost immediately saying that they did not have a front ocean view, but they had a side ocean view. I was impressed with the fact that she messaged me back right away and tryed to accommodate my request. When we arrived at the hotel, the lady at the front desk, greeted us with a smile, and was extremely nice. When we got to our room, we couldn’t believe how clean it was! We walked out onto the balcony, and we were immediately take away by the view. I’m actually happy we got the ocean side view, because we were able to see the beautiful sunset and sunrise from our balcony. Another plus is the location of the hotel. It is almost right smack in the middle of the board walk. There’s a gift shop right next door, and a little convenient store. Which was nice, because when we first got there we needed to stop at the gift shop to buy a couple things. Overall our stay at the Howard Johnson Plaza was truly amazing. And will be sure to recommend them to family and friends :-)

I have stayed here twice and always love the staff! The indoor pool is not great at all. The water was so dirty cloudy and thick looking. My kids even said no way. The ocean water was clearer. 😅
