The staff and manager are very friendly and professional. You are treated like family during your stay.

The room was okay, but the property is not in great shape. There were 5-6 bikes presumably for guest use that were broken and heaped up in the garage, a patio off the garage was chocked full of weeds, and the person at the deck was wearing cut off short jeans and a top that showed much of her belly and tatoos. Plus she left a child behind the desk to answer guest questions - like "where to we get ice?" The kid was cute but shouldn't be front facing like that with her mom no where to be found - or outside smoking. This did not leave a great impression on our family and we said we would not book there again.

The owners do not seem to care that things are falling apart. Shuttered doors came right off the pinned hinges. Furniture needs to be replaced. Flooring seems kind of cruddy. Deck chairs are back breaking. Views and location are stunning. Some care with the back patio, weeding, grass removal between pavers, better furniture, would go a long way. Employees kids’ toys all over the lobby and open food sitting out in common areas was pretty unwelcoming. Staff all very friendly and efficient. This place has the potential to be a gem if someone cared.

I booked my reservation. And when I got to the property my reservation was giving to someone else. I even thou called 2hours before my arriving because I was carrying a special need baby with me. And I want it to make sure I was going to have a room for her at 1am that I was going to arrive on July 1st 2023. And the hotel gave my room to some party people and left me and my daughter with no place to sleep. I even thou beg the front desk person to please help me to stay the night and that I was going to leave by 7am. But they seem not able to help me at all. We had to sleep in the car because no other hotel was available.

Nice clean hotel. Was greeted on day 1 by 2 very nice women who were extremely pleasant and welcoming. Dock out back is perfect for crabbing and fishing. All staff esp. young woman with small child did everything they could to make mine and my families stay there as wonderful as could be. I cant thank them enough and look forward to future stays with them.

The bay view makes this property an ideal get away. Hearing the waves and seeing the beautiful sunrise is a major plus. This property needs a few cosmetic touches and my room could have been cleaned better. My room was not vaccumed, batteries out of smoke detector, and bugs in the track of the sliding door. I was informed the room could not be cleaned due to COVID yet staff in the hotel were maskless and they had their children playing in the lobby. In following the COVID protocols I would expect a thorough room cleaning which i did not get prior to arrival or during my stay

Nothing that I liked. Found ants in the bed. Could hear everything from room next door. Staff dressed unprofessionally. When reached out to staff several times concerning the noise nothing was done. Would not recommend this place to a family. We typically spend nearly 100 days per year for work and leisure in hotels around the country and this was the worst experience we’ve ever had.

Our balcony was infested with spiders! We bought spray and borrowed a broom to clean off all the webs, eggs, and active spiders. As soon as it got dark, there were bigger spiders that put new webs all over the balcony. So, we could not even sit out and enjoy the view we were paying for. The daytime staff member had her children running around everywhere, she was vaping, and left her car parked in the unloading spot at the door, for her entire shift. She came in the next day with the same clothes on, and had additional guests with her that were also vaping, along with her children, again. The overnight staff member also left her car sitting in the unload spot at the front door. In addition to the not so great hotel experience, the restaurant right next door has extremely limited hours of operation. There is not beach to sit at comfortably and enjoy the area. Also, the beach that Google says they have is a joke! This was a terrible trip for us.

This was supposed to be our first wedding anniversary trip - and there was no sunrise room available. We’ve always gotten the sunrise room, which was the reason we booked this hotel. There was a strong smell of weed as soon as we got off the elevator and it followed us into our room. We had three kids plus a baby and were sorry they had to be exposed to that. This, aside from the lack of a sunrise room, ruined our experience. The balcony had a tripping hazard - due to weathering, a panel of the flooring came off and could’ve resulted in someone tripping and falling. The toilet bowl had a pubic hair on it and the sofa bed was pretty hard ( we allowed the kids to sleep in the queen beds for a change). This may be the last time we stay here. It was great in 2020, but now the weed smokers came and made it ghetto. I think if people come here for the sunrise view, they should be informed before paying whether a sunrise room is available or not. This would be very helpful. Normally the concierge can help us out but this time, Island Inn failed to deliver.
