Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Columbia East - Elkridge, an IHG Hotel

This was a nice hotel that was convenient to family with a very good breakfast selection. The only thing we didn't like was we were underneath someone who was playing music all night long to the point we couldn't sleep, and there was screaming and slamming of doors, etc.

Picked this hotel for the indoor pool. Spending the weekend for family events and wanted the pool for my grandson to have as an option for use . When we arrived we learned the pool was closed. Absolutely NO notification on website. We would NOT have stayed there if we knew pool was not in service. POOR business practices.

I was here meeting out of state family for a funeral. The accommodations were clean and extremely comfortable wonderful bedding and amenities. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices hot and cold. I would stay here again.

When i origibally booked i booked a hotel with connecting rooms and a pool ad it was my families first trip back to my hometown since i moved there. Upon arrival we were informed there were no connecting rooms and the pool was down. My room charged to my card before i walked in and there are 2 charges on my bankcard for the hotel that they have advised me that should drop off. Do not get me wrong the next morning Mr Will was very kind to me but this trip was more of an inconvenience then a trip to my hometown.

We had a large room that surprisingly accommodated our large family of 6 (two queens and a pull-out couch). We would stay here again, and would recommend to others. staff was helpful and amenities were good.

We were in town for an event. Its a little hard to find. But has a Giant and some food places very near. The staff was friendly. There was a pretty decen free breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage,pancakes, two types of cereal, coffee, and fresh baked cinnamon buns. I was with my wife and kids, we got the two bed suite. Ee got to the room around midnight. The room was exactly as in the pictures. But for the price I paid, I would expect more. It seems like an old building that they are trying to upkeep by doing the bare minimum. There was paint chipping off the wall, one of the pillows had a stain on it. The thermostat didnt work properly and we were freezing all night even though it said 78. The worst part was when i attempted to take a shower. The water backed up within 2 minutes even with the low pressure of the shower. It took exactly 14 minutes for it to drain after i turned it off. It was 1am and the kids were already asleep, so i couldnt even ask for a different room.

My stay was fine. My grandchildren enjoyed the pool, breakfast, and room.

Everything at the hotel was great. What was not so great was you had a large travel sports group that monopolized the common area so that noone else could enjoy it. They had their food delivered there and just made it so it was unwelcoming to anyone else. They left their kids to run the hallways make a ton of noise. Luckily I fell asleep- otherwise I would have had no choice but to complain. If you are going to rent to those types of groups, you should put them all in on area and also provide an area they can gather that doesn't impact the rest of your guests - especially when they are overbearing and self centered.

We booked a large room for a family of six, only had three sets of towels, called the front desk and was told abruptly we had to come down to get more. When we asked the front desk for more, we were originally told they were out of towels, ahe then went into a empty room and got us the sets we need for our kids. There was a TV obviously missing from the sitting area and multiple furniture prices were broken and damaged. But our was a quick trip and we didn't even unpack so it didn't bother us that much.

They call me at 11:00 pm telling us to rereserve our reservation after 2 days out of our 5 day's and if I don't come to the office ASAP me and my family has to get out after they took a security deposit for both rooms so we had to put an additional deposit on the rooms again. Terrible customer service
