The noise of kids screaming and stomping at 2 am was quite unpleasant. Additionally, dealing with poor drainage that resulted in standing in ankle-deep water during a shower was frustrating. The effects of having too few staff members were noticeable in the quality of customer service that was delivered.

My experience at the Best Western in Ruston, La was fair. No hot water for a shower, bathroom door didn't lock. I experience housekeeping with her two small children with her as she attempted to work. (As a mother of three, I truly understand the struggle of having to work and care for small children, but come on how great of a job (cleaning the rooms) can you do with her kids with you on the floors.
On the day of check out housekeeping banged on my room door as if their were the police. Traveling by myself for the first time since the loss of my husband I was terrified by the commotion. They proceeded to come into the room without notice, I was in the shower at the time. This cause additional anxiety to my already anxious emotional state of mind. The behavior/service of housekeeping/hotel staff confirms I would never stay at this establishment again, and I don't recommend any elso to stay here.

Upon arrival to the hotel we found out they had overbooked their double rooms. There were many families all together who had booked for a sporting tournament. We all had families of 4. One family was forced to be in a King room due to the overbook. The facility itsself was ok, the rooms were spacious and fairly clean, however, prior to arrival I must have called 200 times, multiple days in a row, and no one ever answered the phone. It always went to a voicemailbox that was full if I chose an extension. A couple of times I called the national number and even they were unable to get anyone to answer the phone. I did succeed ONE time out of a very large number of tries. The 6 families we were traveling with all had the same issue. We called during MULTIPLE hours of the day, so there was no excuse. The staff member working when we checked in was very kind and polite.

This is the 2nd time I've stayed here and will probably be more frequent since I have a student at LATECH. The staff is nice and friendly. Both times I have stayed on the 3rd floor and found that is does have a musty smell and my son does have allergies and both times we woke up stuffy. Could probably use a good cleaning in hallways; was very warm in the hall, for the last stay 9/4/22, but they were having AC issues and the part was on order. Hope it's better next time. The breakfast was good, although the staff for the morning of 9/5 was not very attentive and this was a busy morning for families bringing their students to campus to move in, lots of hungry folks. Food items were scarce and service could have been a tad bit more friendly. Otherwise, we had a great experience! We will be back!

Usually a very good hotel I stay at when visiting family 3-4 times a year. This visit the hotel room was dirty, chair was broken pushed in a corner and the big lamp didn’t work and the desk lamp had a shortage

My two children and I stayed here for a softball tournament in July. We booked two nights. After hours of driving we checked in, ready to relax.
The lobby was nice and clean. That was the only positive of our stay. The room we were given had black mold on the ceiling above the shower and the AC did not work. We were given a second room. That room had employees hanging out in the bed watching TV. The third room was completely occupied with other guests in bed. The forth room did not have working AC. Finally, after hours of switching rooms, we were given an empty, clean room with working AC but no towels. The front desk said there were no towels clean. We had to drive to Walmart and buy towels to shower. The following day around 1pm, we went back to the room to nap. About 20 minutes later- our room door opened. It was guests checking in that were given our room. We did not feel safe knowing anyone could walk in at any point while we were there or not there.
We packed our stuff and stayed the night at a hotel about 20 minutes away.
I attempted to contact the manager for that day with no response.
I emailed corporate and customer service but their lack of concern, follow up and response was awful.
I do not recommend this hotel or any Best Western after my experience.
