Great location, walking distance from shopping center and restaurants. My family and I enjoyed our stay however I would have liked there to be more amenities in the room such as, mini refrigerator and microwave. There isn't a laundry room available or nearby. I like washing my clothes before heading home. Parking is available for a nightly fee($50/ night, valet available for additional amount). This was not described when making our reservation. The breakfast that was offered wasn't really much of a breakfast. Cereal, muffins, coffee and juice. For me personally, this is not appetizing or nutritious. It was our first time in New Orleans and although the staff was great and the hotel was well taken care, it didn't suit our needs completely.

This hotel was such a pleasure to stay at. We had our 1 year old daughter with us and they perfectly accommodated her, offering a crib and high chair for the dining room. The crib is a pack and play and the staff offered to set it up for us right away and gave us extra blankets and pillows! The room was gorgeous, clean, and the bed was a DREAM! We thought the ambiance was wonderful and it was especially nice how the staff would send check-up text messages to ask how we were doing and if we needed anything. The location is one block off of Canal street and an easy 15 min walk to the French Quarter or the river. It was perfect. The only possible downside to this hotel is no fridge/microwave in room, but if that isn't an issue, this is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay, and works great for pets and babies! We will definitely come again!

Checked into the Magnolia expecting a luxury hotel experience but we were wrong. The check in was slow and the attendant was on her phone and hardly said a word to me. I asked about a crib for my one year old and she said they had them and would send one to my room, it never arrived. The room looked nice and had been recently renovated but none of the power outlets worked in the bathroom cause me to have to dry my hair in the main room upsetting my baby. Parking was $35 in the public lot across the street, we got the last available spot leaving others looking for parking. Overall I was not impressed and won’t be staying again. Many other options in that price point with better amenities and locations.

Being an older hotel, there were things that are expected now a days. For example, refillable shampoo, conditioner, and moisturizer. Some rooms don’t have sitting area or drawers so one need to travel lightly. The best part of our experience is at the front desk. The lady is the evening shift was kind and accommodating (Kecelda) and helped us plan a shuttle for the family.
