Brent House Hotel

We decided to go on a last minute overnight trip & came across this hotel. On our way their I decided to start reading more of the reviews and kept noticing people mention nurses coming by or staying here post surgery. I then realized this was attached to Oschners. Dont know how I missed that but oh well. We ordered pizza from a place included in the room guide & it was amazing!! For breakfast we went to the cafe downstairs which is where you can definitely tell it's a hospital. Lol!! Everyone was in scrubs & my kids started asking why. Lol!! Food was good & there was a PJs coffee spot next to the cafe. They made the absolute best Matcha Latté. The pool was nice & their were cabanas you could hang out by. & they have a really pretty sitting area that had water fountains where you could drink your coffee or eat breakfast. That morning an awful storm came through and we called the front desk to see if we could wait til it passed to check out since most of the things we wanted to do were outdoors & they were super accommodating. Only downside I can think of is the parking is pretty far from where the rooms are and we couldn't find a luggage trolley to wheel our stuff in. And the layout is kind of confusing but other than that it was a nice place to stay for a quick trip.

Was very calm & peaceful! Great place for a family! Check in was easy, friendly staff!

The beds were very comfortable. Pool was relaxing. The atrium was relaxing and choices to eat. Only complaint is very low water pressure. Other than that, it was an outstanding stay. May I suggest, giving a discount if hafe a family in tge hospital. Gets expensive staying there, when someone is in the hospital and you live over an hour a way.

Check in was wonderful, very friendly clerk! Check out, not so much! Rooms are clean and comfortable, very large! We only stay at this hotel when necessary for hospital visits, given that the hotel is connected to the hospital you would expect a decent rate, but it was much cheaper to book through Expedia than the hospital rate they offered! Any way you look at it, this is a HOSPITAL hotel, but their online description is very deceiving when it lists restaurant, river view and hotel parking. The restaurant is the hospital cafeteria, the hospital garage is the parking area and you must enter through the hospital unless you want to walk a very long distance. And I saw no river view as the parking garage covers that. To sum it up, if you need a close hotel while family is in hospital, it’s super convenient, but the cost of the room may very well be out of reach.

I stayed here with family for one night before a cruise. The service was wonderful. We were able to drop off our luggage early to be held so we were able to go downtown to visit all the sites. Which was a plus. The rooms are big, spacious, very clean, and bed was very comfortable. We were a little shocked when we checked in, because it is adjacent to a hospital.

I liked the fact that the hotel was easily accessed/connected to the hospital. I very much disliked that the hotel did not offer discounts for patients and their familyl. Most hjotels would significantly cut the price for them since they are already out so much money. You should be ashamed! You should also off discounted foood vouchers for patient families.

The listing does not explain that it is attached to and part of Oschner hospital so that was a bit weird. No valet and parking garage was around the building without any security. The carpets were really dirty. Wrappers on the floor. The whole vibe was a bit weird. It’s perfect for traveling med students or hospital patient families, but it should be properly represented on the listing.

We thought we were just staying across the street, but it is actually attached to the hospital. We had family in the hospital, so it was a pleasant surprise, but if we were just on vacation i would not have been pleased. Masks are required everywhere because of the connection to the hospital.
