Homewood Suites by Hilton Baton Rouge

Stayed in a two room suite with 5 kids. We had plenty of room and a lot of fun in the pool. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Very spacious was perfect for my family

Check in was cool. Not super friendly but friendly enough. Seemed to be more down to business than making small talk with me. But I was ok with that. Brought our kids to the pool which was fun for them. We left hotel to go get dinner & we came back a couple hours later! Me and my kids decided to go wash our pool clothes since we knew this particular hotel had washer/dryers. So I sent my boys down to front desk for quarters. My sons who are very respectful, told me the lady was very rude and said she didn’t have any. So now here I go & the lady was in fact full of attitude about some darn quarters. So I purchased a pk of detergent and was gonna go scrape some change in my truck console. But as we got closer to where my truck was, my boys said mom let’s just go to the room because what if we have to go back to her and she’s rude again!? So we went to the room and I washed our swim gear in the sink. But when I got my sons sleeper sofa ready, inside his sheet/pillow bag, there were 6 pillow cases and only one fitted sheet! No flat sheet! So yep, i had to go back and deal with the ugly night person! So i put the bag on the counter and told her there were 6 Pillow cases and no sheets. She never said anything, Not an “I apologize mam” or even “Here’s the correct set”. She just put on counter. Which caused me to LOUDLY tell my sons… “DONT BRING NOTHING LIKE THAT HOME, PLEASE!!” Felt so disrespected. Then there was a huge cockroach in our room when we got back from getting sheets.

Easy check-in. Friendly staff. Clean and eco-friendly. Great breakfast. Slept like a baby. Great location. Looking forward to coming back.

We had a good time visiting family. The room was large enough for 3 adults and 1 child. The furniture is a little dated and very dirty. Unfortunately I had to put sheets over the 3 chairs at the table because they had stains all over them and the refrigerator wasn't very cold. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. The front desk was very accomodating to our needs and Ms Mary with the kitchen staff was awesome. She made sure we had more than enough food everyday we came to eat even if breakfast over.

We stayed for over a week. The pool was not open when we were there the end of March. The pool is seasonal despite having 70-80 degree weather. The site does not state this which was a downer for our family. The breakfast was great and they offer a happy hour which was nice as well. We checked out early due to no pool. The morning of check out I did find 2 cockroaches in the kitchen prior to our departure.
