Holiday Inn Express & Suites Cincinnati Riverfront, an IHG Hotel

I picked this hotel because they had EV charging. Get to hotel, plenty of parking for everybody and two gas cars parked in the only 2 EV charging spots. It was very late my family was tired and we had to leave early the next morning. The two young guys at counter were of no help nor assistance and they have no night manager. They called their parking lot private, but do not make you give your license plate number. Not sure how it can be private when you actually don’t know who is parking there. Called IHG but no resolution at this time other than they are working on it. The manager the next morning told me this was the first time this had happened and paid me a lot of lip service that they are going to work on the issue. That still doesn’t help that a 1am I had to go find a charger while my family went to the room. Hotel only offered a $30 credit. I still am waiting to hear what IHG resolution for this is. PIC was taken next morning and they are still there…

Hotel located next to a liquor store, not really a family environment. Breakfast was not good.

Without staying in downtown DC, this is the perfect hotel for families to stay at on vacation. Close to Metro, the northeast door goes to an outdoor shopping area with relaxing seating areas. CVS is closeby if you need medical items. Many options for dining within the area. Despite this being in the middle of a busy district, it gives a much needed break after a long day in crowds. We would 100% book this hotel again in the future.

We really enjoyed staying here! Guest Services were very very welcoming! We needed additional towels due to the size of our family and after calling down they were brought up within minutes. The only thing that could use improvement was the temperature of the pool. My kids and husband complained of it being cold! But other than that we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

The desk service was great upon arrival. The pool water was freezing cold definitely upsetting because that's one reason i booked this hotel to bring my baby girl to swim for her 2nd birthday. Then we decided to stay another night and as were getting around to go out and see the town my daughter finds this Huge plastic purple medical syringe and it went straight in her mouth we grabbed jt right away only to find there way liquid still in it so i am beyond upset and frustrated and getting her check out because lord knows what it could be. I called the front desk rught away and they sent up the house keeping manager she apologized and said she doesnt know what it is she seen people put alcohol in them or something like that but they came and cleaned our room and then the front deak called anf said they gave me 10,000 points since im a member because they are sorry for whaf happened and yes i appreciate that but my whole stay should have been refunded considering the room should have already been cleaned and double checked so this would have never happened to begin with had someone properly done their job!

Great size for what we needed (suite size) with 4 kids. It overlooks the interstate in a somewhat deserted/ unusual part of town but we had zero issues with safety with our car parked in normal outdoor area. The blackout blinds didn’t cover the windows so lights shone in all night. Breakfast was great. We were stopping through and booked on a whim. Overall would stay again. Plus it’s RIGHT by the bridges and loved seeing Cincinnati in the morning.

Very large and clean room. I heard zero noise at night and slept like a baby.

The room we had was quite spacious for travelling with 2 kids, large room with 2 queen beds separated from living room and kitchenette. Continental breakfast had good selection. Staff were helpful and courteous.

The kids loved the pool, and pool towels were readily available. The liquid hand soap in the room smelled divine. Although the price of one night was ~ $100 less than surrounding hotels, when I reserved the room 2 nights before arrival, there are some fundamental misses I just can’t get over. Upon arrival, no greeting or eye contact whatsoever. Staff were talking amongst themselves and went immediately from that to something to the effect of asking me, simply, “Name?” while looking at the computer. Once in the room, wet tissues - all of them. Sink clogged every time we washed our hands. Who wants to brush their teeth into a pool of gross water? No ventilation in bathroom. Large plastic OTC medicine wrapper next to bed on the floor when did initial walk through room. Although reservation clearly stated 4 people, for a king bed room with sleeper sofa, there were no sheets/blankets on the pull-out bed or pillows for it. My husband ask for said items and was told he could pick them up at the front desk, but he was running out to get dinner and some other items and had his hands full on the way back. The phone had no number listed on it for reaching the front desk, so I had to Google it the number and call it from my cell phone. Then, a different front desk staffer (Sandy, maybe?) told me she could bring the items up - Hallelujah for her service-minded character! Breakfast was busy, and the staff was kind. Items were well-stocked, as well.

My family had an issue while we were trying to check in and the staff was extremely helpful, kind, and amazing. The rooms were nicely cleaned and there were great accommodations.
