This has been my go to hotel choice for Ames while my kid has been a student at ISU. Service is quick & friendly. Rooms are always clean. Beds are comfy. Workout room and pool areas are great. And the breakfast is always good. Highly recommend.

The room was perfectly comfortable and the hotel was well located for our event at Iowa State. There were a lot of families there that had kids running all over and trying to get in peoples doors while I was there though.

When we arrived there was a youth sports team on property. After they took a swim (totally great to get them in the water) they began playing tag on all the floors. The parents were in the lobby drinking. After I was run into by the group we called the front desk. The gentleman at the front desk didn’t seem to have any suggestions on how to keep the pack of kids from running up and down the hallways.

The hotel was very clean and staff friendly. My only issue was being put next to a family with a dog and listening to barking at 8 AM in the morning. I wasn't aware the hotel allowed dogs. I would recommend placing families with dogs in an area away from customers without dogs.

Overall our stay went well. The full service continental breakfast was good. The children enjoyed the pool and I enjoyed the workout room. Some items needed could be improved on such as dusting the corners of the ceilings as there was dust hanging down and the microwave in the room needed to be cleaned out due to food residue left. Overall I would return to this hotel again.

ISU alums who stayed one night to see the campus. Hotel was set up well for parents and a small child--there was a divider between the child's bed and ours so that we could stay up after he went to bed. Staff was friendly, and accommodations were everything we needed.
