Blue Gate Garden Inn

We enjoy our stay here every time. My kids love the pool and the arcade. A couple games did not work, but staff gave my kids quarters to play something else. Breakfast is great.

Super cute hotel with great amenities. Very clean and nice. My kids loved the icecream parlor and pool. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was excellent. Except the chlorine fumes from the pool burned my eyes while i watched my grandkids swim

This is affordable and fun place to take your family. The rooms are clean. The pool is clean. The breakfast is free and delicious and the game room games are literally only a quarter. We love it here.

Our go to place to stay every time we’re in Shipshewana. Our kids LOVE the pool. My husband loves the arcade and we all love the breakfast. I especially love the short walk to the Blue Gate Theatre. Our absolute favorite place to see a concert!

Third time we have stayed at the Bluegate Inn. Rooms, common areas, and grounds are always immaculate. This time the whole place was decked out for Christmas with the entire grounds area lit up. Nice large pool area with towels that are provided by the Inn so you don't have to have your own or drag down a bath towel from the room. Also several setting areas throughout the main floor to sit and relax with a small group or larger family. They also have their own icecream fountain onsite. The courtyard had many Adirondack chairs and a fire pit to sit around nightly. A breakfast buffet is included with the night and it never disappoints. Fresh made omelets, waffles and many other items to choose from. There are other nice places to stay in town, but you can't go wrong at the Bluegate.

The property was nice generally speaking. But, we found eyelashes from a baby doll in our bedding, there was hair in our bathtub and the pool area had so much chlorine that it burned our eyes the moment we walked in. Also, the hot tub was not much warmer than a luke warm bath, we asked the front desk if it could be heated up but did not hear back. Great, breakfast and location, and the staff were very nice. It was great to have the ice cream shop there, the kids really enjoyed that!

My girls and grandkids loved staying at the Blue Gate.. everything was and is absolutely perfect! Thank you for a great experience.
