Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Crystal Lake, IL

Stayed for several days with kids. Breakfast was pretty boring, same things day after day. The room condition was old and falling apart. The a/c worked, but it was still hot in the room. The pull out couch was extremely uncomfortable and shouldn't be listed as a sleeping option. The chairs were grossly dirty and need upholstery cleaning or replacing. The bathrooms were so small I couldn't turn around without hitting the toilet. We felt like sardines in a can, packed together. Definitely won't stay there again. Most of the staff were very nice and quick to accomodate, but it doesn't make up for the yucky hotel.

Staff always welcoming. Makes for a great place for families to convene.

We've stayed at this property on and off for 20 years, including utilizing it for family visiting for our son's wedding when we lived in the area. Always improving, always a pleasure.

When I got to my room and family was coming out of our room down the hall with a giant dog. I Had to listen to a bark later that night. When I open the door to my room it smelled like mold and wet dogs.

Overall nice stay. There was stuff splattered on walls that was missed during the cleaning. That made the room feel dirty. My kid found change on the floor by the bed so again it makes the room feel unclean. Was a quite room and pool area was clean.

First of all they did not have the room available that I booked with hotels.com. I was supposed to have 2 queens and a pull-out sofa for $89. When I got there our room had only 2 queens, not enough for me and my 4 children. Since the room I booked was sold to someone else I asked for a king room with pullout sofa so I could sleep 3 in the king and 2 on the pullout. They did give me that room however turns out the pullout sofa is only a twin so I had to ask for a rollaway bed (at least this room was big enough to add the rollaway). The pillows were really uncomfortable. Bed was pretty comfortable though. Room was just ok. Not dirty but not really nice either. The pool area was terrible, it's dark in there! Only one side of the pool area has lights on, the table side was dark and gloomy. People were commenting on how it made the pool look closed even though it was only 8pm. (And the pool was open I checked!) However the whirlpool was out of order during our stay. When I got home I noticed I was billed an extra $10 over what price I secured with hotels.com. Not happy at all with the hotel I won't be staying again. $109 was way too much for the quality/ error and poor pool area. The kids really look forward to that and the pool is nothing like the pictures.

Wonderful checkin experience at 8 pm with the nice woman who was so personable and welcoming. It’s the kind of hospitality and ease of checkin that you want, especially after spending a full day at a nearby hospital where you’re visiting a family member. Hotel is so conveniently close (ie next door) to retail shops (Target, BuyBuy Baby, Kohl’s), Fresh Thyme grocery store, and restaurants (Freddy’s, Crumbl Cookies, Chik Fil A, Raising Cane etc…). Rooms are comfy and modern and super clean. In a heartbeat, this is the hotel to go to if you’re in the area or need a close locale to the area hospitals in Woodstock, McHenry, and Huntley. Free breakfast, pool and hot tub on the first floor which I didn’t check out but the facilities are extremely well maintained.

We had a bad plugged drain they came and fixed it but left the poisonous chemical on our bathtub we had little kids there it was within reach totally horrible
