Best Western Tyrolean Lodge

The pool water was very dirty with debris and oil, and no net to self clean. 5 months in advance, we booked a king and a 2 queen room together and they put us on different floors, on opposite sides of the hotel, the only option to be closer to my MIL and children was to take a queen room for my husband and I. The hotel is older but clean, the beds are on the softer side, but comfortable. The continental breakfast was fine.

We have purposely booked this hotel for the pool however it was closed leaving our kids very disappointed. The pictures from the website we think were misleading as well as our room appeared very dated. The hallways made creeking noises as we walked them too. We really appreciate the staff accomidating us, they were stellar, but the hotel didn't meet what we were looking for and again, all that we could have overlooked had the pool been working for our kids.

The shower did not work in our room and there was broken glass all over the floor in our room floor. We have twin toddlers and they cut them self on the glass.

The paperthin walls carry every sound—a family with crazy children jumping up and down for hours despite a front desk call. Outside the room I thought was a balcony but turned out to be a stupid narrow walkway. After we went to sleep, aside from the thumping upstairs, our bed started to sway. Thinking it was a quake, I looked out the window only to find a weird looking guy standing right at my window smoking and his kids running the walkway. I tapped the glass to get his attention and motioned for him to move, which he did. As a result our little few day getaway (mid-week) turned out to not be restful. Management needs to be more attentive to how guests are behaving. Also DO NOT put family with young kids on UPPER levels. That should be common sense. I won’t be back.
