Highly recommended for family who wants exclusive stay in Maui. Very quiet. Less crowded compared to the other hotels.

It was a nice stay. Not sure it was worth the price but it was fun. The valet guys were amazing. The activity hut by the pool was very expensive and Jose the “boss” was less than appropriate. Making fun of the new guy Shawn and not having any idea what was going on. Shawn was great and very knowledgeable. Jose was aggressive and disrespectful. The room consisted of two beds a bathroom and a closet. I would expect more for $6000 a week. Plus $40 a night for parking and a ton of tax. We are at the hotel twice and had some drinks. $1400 on top of the $6k for a week. Pools were nice but pool side drinks were well liquor with premix. Basically what I could make in my room for $16 a piece. Virgin drinks were $15. Tasted like my son made them who’s 8. I had to unclog my sink by myself. Took it all apart but it was completely plugged with sand. Air conditioner, if you want to call it that, was less than adequate. Filter was plugged. Bandaid on the light under it kept it running. My room was never cooler that 76° set at 66 the entire time.
To be able to sit at the beach in their “cabanas”, just chairs with a top, was $75 a day and they would just take it to the beach and throw it. We had to drag it a 1/4 mile down the beach to where our bungalow was located.
All in all it was nice. But we won’t be back due to price and lack of amenities for said price. We had family staying at other locations for a lot less that had more options.

Definitely not the Hawaiian hospitality I was looking forward to. I would say half the staff is friendly and nice and half are super rude and have no people skills at all. Restaurant had terrible menu choices because of some kitchen renovations they were doing. Hotel itself is ok but pretty outdated and dirty. Shower had some stains in the ceiling that did not look inviting, room had a moldy old type of smell, bed was very uncomfortable with a dent to one side. We stayed there before and it wasn’t as bad as this time was but as far as rudeness of some staff, it’s been this way every time we stayed. Would not recommend this hotel to family or friends.

Poor service. Front desk clueless - while we waited for check in we saw many customers complaining about housekeeping and front had no answer, kept telling them to come back every 30 minutes. There was a family that had no service for 2 days and their room was a mess and trash piled up.
Our room had many issues:
1. Balcony door didnt lock - after request they fixed it
2. Shower was backed up - everytime we showered was in 2-3 inch of puddle of dirtwater - asked to fix, never got fixed
3. our SUITE was not ready when we got there. even at 3:55 the receptionist tried to say its not ready we had to wait. you make people check out at 11am and cannot turnover a suite in 5 HOURS?
4. I get it all hotels became cheap and dont wana do room service daily. But providing 3 bath towels for 2 days for 2 people in a $1000/night suite? BS and when we requested more did not get any towels
will not go back and wont recommend anyone to stay here... go to a brand hotel like westin or mariott where they respect their customers ... here we got zero service for our 4K suite for 4 nights

Paying resort fees without any clear return is a joke. What was claimed as “benefits” from resort fee is what every hotel (not even resort) provides. Charging for umbrellas even in the hotel pool area was outrageous. The prices at the restaurant was way more expensive than it deserved, competing with much better restaurants outside - the host did not even want to give me high chair for my kids and I had to ask 3 times for a high chair and not adding more cushions to the seats. The hotel charged one day earlier than my checkout despite telling them ahead of time I had flight issues and a wedding anniversary and paying the trip including 2 kids. Oahu waikiki beach resort was much nicer, cheaper and better care with the guests.

We stayed at this hotel before and had always booked the room in the tower, which is the main hotel and had a positive overall experience. However, this time we decided to booked the bungalow or cottage room, which is ground level because I thought it would be easier for the kids to access the pool and beach. It was a big mistake, they gave us probably the worse bungalow room they had. First, we noticed the room were not cleaned as there were lots of dead insects in the bathroom and dead insects smear on the ceilings and walls. Second, the AC unit is almost useless as the windows not enclosed all the ways and we were so hot at night and could not sleep well. Third, at night the insects come out and I spent a good 30 min killing insects (the only positive thing was it provided the kids entertainment, me killing insects). Lastly, the sprinklers came on during the night at multiple times between 2:30am and 4:30am, which woke us up and end up not able to sleep. This was our first night and traveling day and was hoping for a good night sleep. This ends up changing our plan the next day as we had to catch up on a sleep moving room (not easy). Despite all these problems, the hotel managed to change our room to the the tower with a partial ocean view the next day after we reported the problems (we paid a little bit more but worth it). For my experience this time, I would rate a 3.5 stars out of 5 for the last minute accommodation by the hotel. Never booked a bungalow room again.

Bungalows are great for family/ small children if you like a “free roam”/ nature environment.
