There are dinosaurs in the lobby! That should say it all.
There are splash pads for kids, and the location on the waterfront is superb.
The staff was friendly, even though check in was a tad slow. They did upgrade our room and gave out champagne (though I don’t drink it’s still a nice gesture)!
I think this will be our recurring choice for our visits to Savannah.

It was an awesome property especially with small kids. We enjoyed it all. Best location for on the river and access to the restaurants

Fantastic stay! Four nights with a family of four. Safe, clean, beautiful property on the river. Courtney (I think, from Chicago) at check in was great, everyone hustling, zero complaints from a family that is hard to please. Thanks for the memories!

This is the most beautiful and unique hotel the lobby area is more like a museum. The staff at the front desk amazing and friendly. My husband and were there celebrating our 42 year wedding anniversary and his birthday and we had the most wonderful time. They put us in the Three Muses building and we had complete view of the river with a balcony what a treat. We will definitely stay here again and have recommended to our family and friends

while the hotel is beautiful, my family and I couldn’t get past the smell of barbecue, smoked meat coming through the air vents the entire evening. We were so tired from our trip that we just fell asleep, but the smell was there when we woke up and when we went to bed. The hotel staff was very nice about it and they refunded our resort fee, however, I don’t feel that the price of the rooms warrants what was provided.

Started out great! We found the front desk staff to be so welcoming and friendly! The hotel was beautiful and the lobby smelled absolutely amazing! We asked about the scent and the desk clerk gave me a brochure so that I could order a candle or other merchandise in the hotels custom scent.
I had booked two rooms but only one was ready upon our arrival, which was fine. I was told that the second room had been cleaned but still had to be inspected before we could get the key. We finally got our room later in the afternoon. It was beautiful and a very spacious corner room. To our dismay, we found a St. Patrick’s Day headgear on the floor in our room apparently left by the previous guest, visiting last weekend for St. Patty’s Day festivities. This discovery left us scratching our heads since we waited a few hours for our room to be “inspected” before we could get in?!! Our second disappointment came when we were kept awake until 2:30 AM due to the extreme noise level from the local bars and the rooftop bar. No joke, it sounded like they were in our room.
Also, we told the desk clerk that we wanted seafood for dinner and wanted a sit down restaurant. She recommended District Seafood which is one of their restaurants. After getting dressed and meeting family there, we were disappointed to learn that this is an outdoor bar restaurant. You literally sit around the bar or you eat at a table outside. We will unlikely return nor recommend this hotel.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. We enjoyed our visit quite a bit; however, we didn’t eat at the restaurants as much as we planned due to limited vegetarian and healthier options. Transportation to and from the hotel was also harder than anticipated- the property is lower than the rest of the historic district, so we had to go up and down very steep steps every time we left the hotel. Not a huge issue but probably not the best for anyone with mobility issues. Overall, a great place to stay for a large party (we were there with family) but I would probably consider something more in the main historic district if I return.

Very frustrated about our stay. The rooftop bar plays VERY loud music until 1:00 am. So loud that I couldn’t hear the tv, let alone sleep. Front desk did not answer the phone the first two times we called and finally offered a room change at midnight on our final night. The hotel is lovely, but why sell a room for over $500 a night when you feel like you are in a club until 1am?! I’m pretty sad about it and will stay other places as my children go through the next 4 years at scad. Lost a customer, sadly.

The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. We were greeted by John with Persecco filled flutes when we checked in at the Plant Riverside bldg. We met Mackenzie, who upgraded our room, just because! We met Thomas & Tristan & Kira! Our favorite, Paulina, who was simply wonderful to us. Unexpectedly, she gifted us with treats in our room. We felt like family and really fell in love with this amazing and unique property. We will tell our friends and family to visit the JW Marriott Plant Riverside. We will return as well. It was a perfect little get away. Angie & Regina Oct 8, 2023

This property is beautiful. The staff were so helpful and kind. There was plenty of restaurants and shopping with in walking distance. My family and I will be staying here again very soon.
