Best Western Plus McDonough Inn & Suites

You probably wonder why my title of this review is the G,B,W and the reason is... As far as the building itself great outside well taking care of. Front desk Ms. Shar I butcher her name from her I receive GREAT customer service and she was very hospitable from change room situation and being thoughtful to my reason for visiting there. I was there to honor my brother who has passed. She took my info , gave me my keys and mention the signing up.. NOW! the Bad/ WOW! I'm on CST time so I up early anyway. Thought is was odd for the kitchen door to open during serving breakfast. Due to I work as a Breakfast Hostess for Hampton Inn for 6 yrs. And your hostess Sajo was sitting, well relaxing (purple chairs LOVE them ) on her cell phone. When she should be attending to the guest and make sure food is replenished I know how the food is prepare. It was good but not at its BEST turkey sausage and eggs a tad over cooked. the WOW! part your printer is not working and the young man couldn't assist me on the computer. Go figure! Saturday (I got back late from being with family). I ask Shar for a late check out she said 12pm is the latest. Thank you! Ms. Shar. So I got up at got downstairs for breakfast at 8:54am Go to chafing dish there's few smoked sausage and a handful of egg. I mention to Cindy she was out of food. She's bringing more out. Waiting!! she brings out this green bowl of not much eggs, no sausage, no orange juice. Trash can off/trash need change. Ask me why Im leaving DUH

I booked my room from Monday-Saturday. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However a waterline broke on Thursday, so there was no running water in the entire hotel. No shower, toilet use, couldn’t brush my teeth, wash my face or hands. I was assured by staff that the water would be restored 1st thing Friday morning but it wasn’t. Then a nice young lady from the staff made an honest admission that it could be another day or so before water could be restored which caused me to immediately check out early and seek shelter elsewhere. (Note I’m from Florida) To their credit, I was not charged for Thursday nor was I penalized for canceling the remaining 2 days of my reservation. The situation quickly became very unsanitary for guests and staff alike. I witnessed a guest with a small child have to go out and purchase 5 gallons of water to survive the unsanitary conditions. The room was spacious but a little dated. The hotel is located right next to I-75 which makes the room very noisy and a bit unpleasant. After my unfortunate experience, I personally would never stay at this particular hotel again.

We had a wonderful experience staying here. The thing that stood out the most was the friendliness and availability of every staff member we came in contact with. Whenever I needed something, (more towels, forgotten toothbrush, extra items for an additional unexpected family member, directions, etc) they made me feel like I was not a bother. This means a lot. A from me. We will be back.

A one night stay for our family after the Braves game continuing our trip to Florida the next day. Hotel staff that we encountered was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Room was clean. Just what we needed.

Everything wasn’t perfect except for the pool was so cold that I couldn’t take my grandkids to swim. We were really looking forward to doing this.

We had a short but nice stay. Traveling North with the family and needed a late night stop. Had everything ready when I arrived. Everything was clean and Breakfast Bar was awesome! Just what's needed to start a long day of driving with kids. Thank you.

The woman at the front desk was awesome. She let us do an early check in, which was a lifesaver. The down side was the pool. There were so many chemicals in the pool that they had to leave the doors open because the fumes were so strong. My son couldn't breathe and the water completely blacked out all the baby blue color in my bikini top and it is now white. And no one ever told us anything. If you're staying here to sleep then it was great. Just don't swim in the pool.

The heated pool was great. The room was large with enough room for the two kids to run around. There needs to be a bigger trash can in the room. The toilet flap needs to be fixed. The refrigerator didn’t run cold enough to keep food cold. I was disappointed that the hot tub was closed.
