Marriott Tampa Westshore

Experienced loud families in the hallways at 1am, made it hard to get sleep. Just stayed for 1-night due to its close proximity to the airport, probably would choose this spot again

Friendly and attentive staff. Close to the airport. Center of several “gentleman’s clubs” so some folks might not be thrilled about that but I stayed with my family and did not find the area to be at all unsafe or noisy. Pool was excellent and clean.

Our family travels pretty often and I was disappointed in this hotel stay. We expected more from the Marriott brand. The front desk staff was nice and the beds were comfortable. However, everything else overshadowed that. The room smelled musty and damp. The thermostat was stuck on 68 degrees. It was obvious that the room was old and some minor updates were made. Our room was across from the ice machine and it was extremely noisy. The housekeeping staff did not come the second day we were there even though we didn’t have the privacy sign on the door and they were practically outside our door when we left for the day. We also paid $6 for a bottle of water at the front desk which was outrageous. The hotel is conveniently located near the Tampa International Airport but so are many other hotels.

Nice place with a good pool. Smaller rooms for a family of 4. Area at night could be considered a bit tough with The Doll House across the street.

Thank you for a great Thanksgiving Week, Marriott. The day we arrived, there was an issue with water, but the problem was solved. The hotel is recently updated, clean, with friendly staff, easy free parking, and close to good restaurants. It has a huge heated in-outdoor pool, the biggest one I have ever seen in the area; my kid loves it. We will come back.

The walls are really thin so you can hear everything, from crying babies to toilets flushing. The bed was extremely uncomfortable.

Overall service was excellent, however upon check in at the room, bathroom was dirty and with blood stain all over the toilet seat. Complain at the front desk and room move was granted but all of the sudden when moving to the other other room another family walked in to the same room dirty. Front desk needs to have better update on the room status and housekeeping to be more detailed to cleanliness specially to human fluids.

The side doors were open which allowed for a homeless couple to go into the hotel and go up the elevator. About 20 minutes later I went down to the bar to grab a beer, the guy was using the guest RR to “clean up”. The guy then went to the bar and fell asleep while sitting at the bar and finally was asked to leave. Would not recommend for just my wife and kids to stay without due to a safety concern. Also during the breakfast buffet, the restaurant ran out of food and the servers were actually telling guests this in the floor! The buffet was out of eggs for at least 10 minutes
