Bathroom was pretty dirty in the first room. We switched and it was better but my wife walked barefoot on the carpet and her feet were disgustingly dirty. Walking in her white socks turned the bottoms brown. The carpet needed shampooed or steam cleaned. Bed had a dead baby roach on the fitted sheet. Hotel was very responsive to our requests for new sheets extra towels and swapping rooms on the second day.

The place was nice but during our stay something was wrong with the water but was fixed right away. There was a kid softball team there and they where running up and down the hallways screaming. Overall the stay was nice and the staff was really friendly and professional

The water heater was not working so no hot water during any of our stay- no one from hotel told us. Jacuzzi was not working at all and dirty until after we checked out. The breakfast was not a breakfast but only muffin, yogurt and bagels- poor advertisement of continental breakfast . Other guests that let their kids run amuck to the point they even dedicated in the pool.

We love the area it’s located in. Very convenient to a lot of stores/restaurants and less than a 10 minute drive to siesta beach. We love the pool and outdoor area. There’s a few extra toys kept down by the pool so the kids have something to play with if they forget their own. The pool bar made my kids virgin smoothies so they loved that, as well. This is my husband and i’s second time staying in this hotel, a first for our kids. We have thoroughly enjoyed it both times and my kids loved it for their first time.

The rooms have been renovated are are bright and comfortable. The TV viewing selection is minimal and the 'new' TV remote is not user friendly. The Breakfast has been downgraded severely to a cold basic breakfast of basic kids' cereals, Bagels and muffins. The Hot Breakfast previously offered by the previous Best Western Hotel has been eliminated. These are all negatives!

The staff were all so friendly! The pool was super warm and nice. My family and I enjoyed the free breakfast offered each morning. Live music and a poolside bar is offered most nights. Would definitely recommend coming here.

BYOP….Bring your own pillow! If you need a comfortable pillow to sleep, bring one! Mattress itself was comfortable, kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub and super convenient to drive over bridge to Siesta Key!

Siesta Key Gateway charged me a nights stay even though my flight to Florida was cancelled at weather, because their Policy states that cancellations must be made by a certain cutoff time. So although my cancellation was completely beyond my control, I am still charged for my room. I absolutely would not recommend this hotel to anyone as it is obvious they don't care about guests, only about the money they can get from them. There are plenty of nice hotels in the area, and even small family-owned properties - bring your business to someone decent, not this place!

This property fit our family of fives needs perfectly! Very impressed with the family suites that had a room for kids and own bathroom. Pool area was clean, beautiful and serene. Close proximity to Siesta Beach and many dining options. Rooms clean. Very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!
