Plaza Beach Hotel Beachfront Resort

We absolutely loved the resort and location. There was plenty to do outside of you didn't want to spend all your time on the beach. The staff was BEYOND accommmodating. They were friendly and welcoming to assure you had what you needed and enjoyed your time in their property. I love that they were family owned. We ALL need to support small businesses. I will definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here. It’s a cute hotel with lots of things to do several restaurants close enough to walk to. View of the beach was great. Our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. Short little stroll to the ocean…everything was an enjoyable experience. I would stay here again. I’d love to have the beach front rooms. They looked so nice with the private balcony with tables and chairs. I like the retro look of everything as well. It’s a cool place to stay!! The staff was always friendly and helpful. 😊 would be a great place for younger kids. So many games and things for them to do. We were there for my daughter’s 18th birthday. Great time!!

Great yard games & beautiful beach. Cute decor. Sheets were scratchy however and should be replaced. Everything was an upgrade, no additional room cleaning without fee. But overall nice location and fun for families.

Our check in with Tyrell was very enthusiastic. The room and area of the resort were clean and kept in good condition. It was great to be staying right on the beach. The little kitchenette and larger-than-usual sized refrigerator really came in handy. The pool was clean and kept at a comfortable temperature. This would be a great place to stay with kids because of all of the things to do right there. We liked being close enough to walk to restaurants and there were many good ones to chose from. Before we arrived, I didn't know this was an updated vintage motel with a 1950's theme - that made it more interesting because they kept the floor plan from those days but updated all materials.

All ages, families, solos, couples are comfortable here with enough privacy and many opportunities to socialize. Thjs hotel is right on St Pete's beach, which stretches for a good distance in either direction. I appreciate that the hotel is still a two-story structure and has been there since probably the 1960's. Updated ofcourse but not erased in character. My 40 year old daughter in law accompanied me this trip. She found the area and the hotel to be just right! Lots of good restaurants and a very good grocery, the Publix, across the road. 25 -45 minute drive from Tampa International Airport. My husband and I came here for several years in early 2012 & 13. I'll be back next year, i hope!

Kitschy decor, terrific personnel,rooms adequate. Maybe not perfect for children because there’s a beachbar that draws a profanity filled, loud voice clientele.

Fun, family friendly, so many things to do. A little hidden gem! We loved it.

My family and I have stayed multiple times and it has always been a great experience. We loved it so much, we ended up staying until the 22nd and got a great rate on the Gulf front top balcony room. This was our final beach getaway for the season and we couldn't have enjoyed our time more. Until next time Plaza, we will see you when the ocean warms up again!! -The Reynolds

This hotel exceeded my expectations! My boyfriend and I stayed for a long weekend, flew in Friday, left late Monday night. We arrived to the hotel on Friday, our room wasn’t ready for check in yet, but Cherish at the front desk said we were more than welcome to explore the property and use the pool and accommodations at the hotel until our room was ready for check in. My boyfriend and I sleep with a box fan on, so I had asked the front desk on the first night if they had an extra fan we could use for our stay. Within 15 minutes, another staff member knocked on our door and we had the fan. The front desk had texted me throughout the stay to see how everything was, and if we needed anything to let them know. The beach was so close and within walking distance from our room, which was a HUGE plus! I loved this! No need to haul a beach bag for miles! The pool was wonderful too, and not to mention the Tiki Bar! It was a fun added addition. We got to watch people play beach volleyball and the beach at night was gorgeous. There were shuffleboard and corn hole boards to play, and a smile kids area that had sand toys and everything. We cannot wait to come back to this hotel! The staff, other patrons, and atmosphere and environment was 10/10. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. The staff really goes above and beyond! Our staff was fabulous!

Small and quiet. Great beach access. Maybe , just a fresh scent from air conditioners. Room was clean, but a musky odor. Fridge leaked on and off. Loved the homey feel and staff was excellent!! Would love to come back with rest of family!
