Hampton Inn Daytona/Ormond Beach

We stayed 3 nights at this Hampton Inn and found the staff so friendly and helpful. We had our dog with us and she received a doggie welcome bag upon arrival which she loved. They made us feel like family.

This hotel is FILTHY and reeks of cigarette smoke. It is a petri dish of mold and bacteria. If you have children, stay away. If you don’t have any children and value your health, stay away. We were offered another room, but it was in the same disgusting condition the lights were flickering.

Property is listed as smoke free,but my family was given a room that was clearly full of cigarette smoke to the point that we could not comfortable sleep the first night of our stay. When i asked to change the room i was informed the hotel was full and would have to wait until the following day and that i could not be credited or have my price adjusted since the booking was through expedia..If this was not the case i would have checked out immediately. It was a horrible first night

The staff is amazing. We were in town for a family emergency, with our pet, and the staff was so understanding and helpful. Room was comfortable, breakfast was amazing, and it was helpful to have a nice place to stay, given the circumstances we were in town for.

We stayed here for 5 night family vacation! All staff - front desk, breakfast and cleaning - were so very nice, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very tasty and good variety especially for vegetarians like us. Gentleman in charge of breakfast even helped my sons how to operate waffle maker the first morning we were there. Room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Check-in and check-out was nice and smooth... I definitely recommend this hotel and we will surely stay here again! Very good vibes...

Disappointed. New - they only clean rooms once every 4 days (unacceptable). The floors throughout the hotel (the hardwood and the britle carpet) haven't been mopped or syeam-cleaned in months (filthy, and I have pictures). The tables, desks, cabinets, and chairs hsve not been wiped down for who knows how long (I have pictures). If you want new towels and wash cloths (since they only clean every 4 days) - you have to take them down to the desk (if they have laundered ones available) (unacceptable), you have to put your trash outside your room for pickup (unacceptable). Breakfast is ok, but get there early. The staff and residents (and who knows who else) like to gather and smoke and yuk it up out front right at the entrance. The smoking is bad. This place needs new rules, the one desk person (female, not Tammy) was rude and not helpful at all (interesting that all the guys tried to help). She could care less about helping - she needs to go. (We are providing her name to Hilton's Customer Care.) I heard of a Fairfield Inn over by the Racetrack is where we will stay from now on. (Yes, we go there frequently and this hotel is closer to family, so we are bummed).

The washer and dryer are very old and unreliable. Door kept popping open on the dryer so you had to sit and babysit it the whole time. Which was a long time because the washer don't spin out the water at the end of the wash and you have to ring out your clothes by hand. The help behind the counter could really care less about any issues you're having. Didn't get to get in our room till 5:30 the day we checked in. So lost that time of our vacation sitting and waiting.
