Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kendall East Miami, an IHG Hotel

I’ll try to make this review short and sweet. I travelled with my husband and 18month old daughter. Entering the hotel was a STRONG smell of cleaning product/chemicals to cover up the old musky smell of this hotel, which after not too long, felt like it fried my nostrils. We switched rooms 3 times all of which had the same musky smell, which the receptionist stated was due to the carpet. Room 1- Pieces/chards/shavings of wood on the floor and bed. Room 2- smelled even worse and the lights upon entering the room did not work. Room 3- found 2 open safety pins on the floor, one of which was there so long it was rusting. Used hair rubber bands, and food remnants on the floor, and the dirt was so embedded into the carpet you can tell it hadn’t been cleaned in probably ever. My husband walked around bare feet for all of 5 mins and his feet were black with dirt. The bathroom was outdated, toilet flushes like an airplane toilet, towels were dark and dingy. Keeping my family’s wellbeing, health and safety as priority we did not stay at this hotel and left the same day. Highly don’t recommend

Perfect for go in family I love it everything was perfect

My experience was amazing 95% except the Swimming Pool was cool and don't have no heater , my family and myself can't enjoy Swimming.

We specifically chose a room with 2 beds and a pullout couch to accommodate our family of 6. But the pullout couch was broken. The mattress was falling through t the springs and the good spots was basically a very thin mattress over metal. 2 of my kids did not sleep. We had a late arrival so maintenance was not available and we are told there were no other rooms available. They did give us a $40 credit on our $200+ room but that doesn’t compensate 2 kids who didn’t sleep. Had planned to stay there again on our way of town but cancelled. Breakfast had many good options for a free breakfast

The staff here are fabulous! One gentleman went to his own lunchbox for a banana because the hotel didn't have any fresh fruit for my infant grandson who cannot be exposed to anything peanut related for medical reasons!!! This man went above and beyond!

Front desk personal was friendly and attentive but doesn't compensate the bad conditions of the hotel room, the whole room smell like cigarette and humidity, carpet was completely dirty, my kids took of their shoes and played around the room, early morning next day I noticed their foot sole was completely black because of the dirt in the carpet, water was leaking from the bathtub creating a mess every time we showered, bathroom door didn't close and not all of the lamps were working. The 2 times we approached maintenance they were no help at all, saying that the smell was not cigarette and almost yelling. People at the front desk seemed scared to say anything at the maintenance person, definitely not staying here again.

I absolutely love this hotel will come back in the future. Highly recommend to anyone who travels with kids

Property is ok for the price listed. Too old rooms , a/c, rooms stinks. Hard for kids to stay. But it is listed at reasonable price.

Awful experience, We never come back to this “Hotel” so so dirty and the small make sick my kid and I,the carpet are disgusting “omg” bad experience, the AC isn’t working properly the bathroom has a liking the all night, unforgettable the worst experience, the breakfast was not enough for the guesses, the furniture in the room was awful broken… I’m not recommend to anyone this place. The only positive I can said is the CostumerService was good!! Somebody have to close this place soon please!!! Disgusting is not the name is the worst experience ever!!!

Baby Roaches in my room and shower. I requested a baby crib and the mattress was soiled and stained. Room pictures are nothing like the actual rooms.
