Our time at South Seas was great! Yes they are still rebuilding some areas and adding on more amenities, but we still had a great time. We stayed at a beach villa which was i. Pristine condition and very comfortable for our family of four. The marina side pools and slides were very fun and in great shape. The service we recieved was top notch. We were also provided a smores kit upon check in for the kids to use at their fire pit at night. Highly recommend this resort on Captiva.

SouthSeas is still recovering from Hurricane Ian, but that did not stop our family from having an amazing stay in Captiva! The beach is gorgeous and spans over 2 miles, the trolley allows for transportation throughout the resort and renting a golf cart allowed for us to cruise through town! We will definitely be back!

We liked that it was safe and they had great programming for kids like easter Egg hunt and other activities. Very nice area and I will return. The resort is not all the way back but on their way. Happy to go back

While we understand you are still getting things back to normal after the hurricane…the property near our rental was in terrible shape. They were rebuilding the deck/walkway to the beach and there were large areas missing boards which made our toddler trip and fall. The grounds around our unit were unkept; overgrown bushes, trash and debris scattered randomly throughout the property. The stairs and outside of the unit was in terrible shape as well. Just horrible all around for the price that you charge.
Also, you should mention that the nice pool/club area is over a 5 minute drive from the units you rent! According to the pictures and description online, the beach club was on site near the rentals. We are highly disappointed in our stay.

Had a great long family weekend ! Was relaxing and a lot of dolphins manatee sightings. Only issue was parking - recommend more golf cart parking so they are not taking up a parking spot. But was a great time !

We stayed at the Harborside Hotel on the North end . Great location right by the pool and Ship Store,
The pools were really nice and friendly staff!
The beach was beautiful.
The rooms are a little outdated ( I had already read that in a prior review).
Once you see the view m you will forget about it being a little out dated .
It would have been perfect with a real small coffee maker and microwave.
Be advised to ask what kind of tub/ shower you are getting- the “Roman tub “ was pretty high to try to get in and out off , so probably not a good choice if you have any hip / balance issues .
ALSO BE AWARE - when you check in , the hotel requires a $1000 hold on your card - we were NOT aware of this . We would have booked anyway, but it’s worth noting.
Anything you buy from The Pointe , Scoops and Slices , Ship Store ect…… goes right on the card .
You get the balance back at check out .
It was very convenient, but could be easy to over spend ( or the kids - if they have access can buy what ever they want ).
It’s nice because you can literally just walk around and not worry about having cash or cards on you .
Definitely recommend the Shell Cruise - Captiva Cruises .
It was overall a wonderful relaxing vacation!
Nice people and nice time

The beach is amazing and the main pool area is very nice. We stayed in the Bayside 1 bedroom villas and it was great to have two bathrooms, a lot of room to move around, and the view of the water out our window was beautiful. Seeing dolphins in the ocean and manatees in the harbor up SO CLOSE was awesome. All of the workers we encountered were very nice as well. One thing to note is that you cannot walk to the pool from the bayside and tennis villas, I didn't realize that until after I had booked. It's a very short ride in the car/golf cart/shuttle but with small kids I do wish we could have walked. And it is nothing that they can control, but we did get bitten up by the little midge bugs in the evenings there, I had no idea we should be cautious about that, so just a heads up. The only major issue I found with our stay was that I had in part booked this resort because I thought they had more activities for kids, and then there were basically none for our 7 day stay. The day after we left, they apparently started having crafts in their kids club regularly which would have been perfect for us but they didn't offer them at all during our time there. There was no explanation for that either, I have no idea why they would have that programming during one week of the summer and not another. They had one daily kids activity, a rubber duck race at the pool, which was not really geared to small children, and there was obviously huge unmet demand for any kind of kids program.

Rooms need work and smell musty. Stayed at tennis villas and it is miles from the property amenities. No park or splash area for kids.
