We found the Riverwalk area is peaceful and relaxing. Our family members enjoyed the electric scooters and got around the local area that way. The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We slept well, nice facilities, and we enjoyed the rooftop pool. It is dog friendly as well.

Being a Hyatt, this one was very old. The room was musty and we were woken up at 3:30 to a false fire alarm. The bed linen felt like plastic. No one slept in our family!

The toilet is way to close to the floor … better suited for a small child. The shower lacked grab bars which are required for stepping in and out of a tub

I often have to travel for business and this trip was a mix of travel and pleasure. A few things really stand out to me ... 1. They have hit the sweet spot for upgrades! When I was checking in I was asked if I wanted to a river view and the cost is $15; Yes! I asked about a late checkout and they said $15/hour; Yes! $15 is a great price for upgrades ... did not even think twice! 2. Most hotels of this business caliber do not have coffee/breakfast available until 7 or 8. Those of us who get a jump on our day early are resigned to the in-room coffee, which rarely has enough of the needed accouterments. This hotel has a 24-hour cafe! 3. I absolutely LOVE that the windows can be opened wide, looking over the river, and that as you do it, the AC automatically cuts off and then when the window is closed, it automatically comes back on. I had a few breaks in my conference and I wanted to tour the city while I could have Googled, it would have been nice at check-in to given a cheat-sheet of sites and activities, especially in walking distance (since it is a downtown hotel). For example, just wandering around, we happened to fall upon the 1st Wednesday Art Walk in downtown Jacksonville, which was amazing! Additionally, it happened to be November 2nd, Day of The Dead, and integrated into the art walk was a street for Mexican Americans to set-up the most beautiful shrines for their departed family members (or Mexican artists, as one did!), and the beautiful library!

Hotel is located by the river walk and it looked very nice on pictures, that’s why we booked this location. Upon arrival to the valet area at around 7 pm, we were greeted by very friendly hotel staff and immediately were bombarded by smelly homeless beggars. Going for a walk along the river with our dog was not pleasant because Every bench was taken by a homeless person, smelled of urine every step of the way. While hotel doesn’t have anything to do with it, I would stay in a different area next time if traveling with family. Hotel interior - well maintained and staff is friendly. Room was clean except for stained carpet.

Great customer service, clean, awesome view.
The only thing I didn't like was the pool was super crowded and even though there were no diving signs displayed, people, and children did not adhere. Also, when the pool is that crowded, playing with throwing of balls, and other gadgets, should not be allowed, as there is not enough room to respect peoples space.

Front desk representatives we're very nice and super helpful. Received a great recommendation bfor dinner. Especially appreciated the in/out for same 1 day price for self parking.
This hotel is huge! Good restaurant choices ( ex Morton's Steakhouse) although expensive when traveling with kids. We chose less costly options but would have definitely dined as a couple.

Our overall stay was good but I did give feedback for a better understanding for pet parents, my pup specifically is prone to seizures, he does not do well with elevators, and the fact they only had 3 levels of stairs. The manager was very accepting and took note of my concerns and understanding of my situation with my pup. I was very happy to not only get a call back from her but to also be informed of the training/ suggestions that will be forwarded to the staff. Even though during my stay was a little difficult and helping my pup feel comfortable, she did give me suggestions and tips on how to meet our specific needs next time. I was overall pleased with the response and the stay, if you have any concerns with your fur baby please let them know when you check in and they will help you :) Thank you Hyatt, for being so understanding of our situation and passing on the communication to the staff ❤️
