Dewey Beach is a hidden gem. The hotel is in just the right spot and a short walk to the beach. Pool is great for the kids and the staff is friendly and attentive.

Some of these rooms have three beds which is good for a family of five. We stayed here a few years ago and they offered free breakfast, was sorry to see that they took that away. Easy walk to the beach. I would stay here again.

The hotel is a little older, but it was perfect for our overnight stay. The convenience was perfect especially with 2 small kids. A 2 minite walk to the beach and plenty of food options to walk to. I was definitely come back!

Nice hotel. Clean and nice staff. Had some rowdy kids being obnoxious and loud. Other than that a very good stay. Beds very comfortable....

Location location location. Perfect location, short of being beach front. Easy access to beach, food & drink, everything. The triple bed room is a first for us - perfect for our needs with adult children traveling with us. The room had everything we needed. Overall a nice place. The beds were a bit too firm for us - memory foam, but firm. What I like the least is the bathroom. This is the 3rd or 4th strait hotel room I've stayed in that has mold in the trim work of the shower/tub. Once a month I spray bleach based bathroom sprays at home, and I'm convinced that hotels aren't doing it. This one sure isn't. I'm not talking about the kind of mold that sends people to the hospital. It's minor. But I really don't want to see it when I'm paying for a room for a night or two.

Paid well over $200 a night but it was like a rundown motel and our room corridor was connected to essentially the parking garage stairwell that you had to use to get to the outdoor pool (at the top of the parking garage). The "lobby" was a small area with a lift that could go up to other floors like the pool, but to access it you had to walk through the bottom of the parking garage. I had to request a room change because ours smelled so strongly of carpet perfume I felt nauseous. We opened the windows onto the loud traffic to try to breathe easier but still couldn't handle it and feared it wouldn't have been safe to sleep in for the children. The carpet was also wet. The staff said a carpet on that hall had just been cleaned because an a/c had leaked in the room so they thought the smell might be coming from that. We moved to the room next door and fortunately the smell of perfume products wasn't as overwhelming but the floor/carpet was also wet. Your feet got damp walking in the room. My toddler spilled something and I wiped it up and the napkin came back black. The floors, though damp, were filthy. I was fooled by other reviews saying this was good for families. It's not. Not clean or fresh or well maintained. Dirty, rodent repeller plug-ins in hallways. Positives: Fantastic location close to the beach. Walkable to a beach at the end of the block, near restaurants, staff were very nice. Wouldn't recommend at half the price.

Stayed for 4 nights (summer family vacation - 2023 aug.) the emplacement of this hotel from the beach is my no 1 reason to rate 5 stars! We really love to walk 4 min from spot from the beach to my room! Very clean, staff pleasant and respectful. AC was brand new in the room, really like to park the car on the same level than the room, easy get on and off and leave the beach stuff on the car before getting back to the room. Nalu restaurant straight in from is a must for nice and kind of healty meal. This place and beach is quite "unknown" of tourists so it made it calm and not to much crowed! Would recommand to anyone with or without kid!

Nice little hotel. Perfect location. Even being across from bars nice and quiet and didn’t disturb kids with doors closed. Would definitely go back again.

The Gold Leaf is a treasure on the beach. Yes, it's not fancy or modern, but the statf treated us like family. The room was clean and comfortable. The AC was heavenly. A young man named Lucas helped me find an amazing parking spot on the 4th floor to load my car. My friend left her necklace behind, and the amazing cleaning staff found it and made sure we were called, and they are sending it back to us. The location is right off the beach and close to Dewey night life. The coffee selection is wonderful, and the price made our girls' trip affordable and perfect. We plan to make The Gold Leaf out Go To.
