It’s clear that this was once a GORGEOUS PROPERTY and the suites are still stunning as far as design, color palette and layout.
Unfortunately, it seems as if the current management has let things go. There were cracks in the basins in the bathroom, stains on the ceiling, etc.
Additionally, we waited to arrive until 5:30 to avoid the 4:00 rush of arrivals on our first evening. There were at least 10 families in line. There was one receptionist that knew how to run the register. The other poor lady was brand-new at the job and incapable of completing transactions. This made for an extremely long and frustrating wait! Additionally l

We stayed in a one bed room suite and it was very comfortable. My kids and my mother-in- law just loved the space. My son rated it as 10 out of 10.
Location was great and super convenient to go the beach.
Breakfast was decent.
The only thing is it’s in a different building all together and not in the same building where the lobby is.

Hotel is great if you’re traveling with your little ones or pets.
Clean, comfortable, good breakfast, and friendly staff.
I traveled with my kid, so having easy access to the beach, pool and park was great. The salt water pool is also well kept.
My only suggestion would be for the front desk, to be a bit more attentive to guests needs if they’re calling down from their rooms.
All in all- would recommend

We were looking for a pet friendly hotel. Upon check in we were not informed of their $150 pet fee, rather at check out were we informed of this quite high charge for our one night stay. We understand pet fee policies and have happily paid them when we have traveled with our fur babies. However, this is an enormous fee amount and especially for a one night stay. This experience has left us not wanting to stay at a Marriott for our future travels.

First, we were shown to a smaller room than our pre-paid upgrade to an "executive suite". After a useless call to the front desk (no larger rooms available for 4 nights), and then an in-person visit, we were offered a room that was what we'd paid for, but for only for 2 of the 4 nights. (this room, a disability room, was missing towels and hangers). It's good there were grab bars, because the shower floor was very slippery. After 2 nights we had to check out at 11 and then check in again to a different room, that would be a "better" room and "in the same building." This whole process took about 2 hours, waiting and being told different things. (We missed a lunch with our family) Finally, they offered two choices; one was small and not what we'd paid for. The other was larger, but we realized later that it had no TV, and (in the morning with wet hair) no hair dryer, despite waiting quite a while to have housekeeping check it before we could move in. This room was in another building, as was the first. All of these changes involved moving all our bags and luggage back and forth across the street (and we are 77 and 80). The hotel is being renovated for the past 7 months, but that is no excuse. We made our reservations in February.
What was most upsetting to us was the fact that no one seemed too concerned about our welfare. I don't understand why we were treated this way. It is a pity, because there is so much potential here.

Disappointing that we didnt know the pool wasnt availabil until after we booked. The room only had 2 towels when we first arrived even though it was a family suite and we were a party of 5. There were coffee stirers.

Great location but Expedia and the Marriott site advertised that they had a pool. We took our grandkids to this site because it had a pool. No where did either site say the pool was closed for maintenance. Very misleading and disturbing….

Although it’s a newer facility and right on the beach/boardwalk with nice dining options as well, we were not at all impressed with the lack of communication about the facility and changes that occurred. When we booked the $670 a night room there was no mention of the pool that was listed being out of service, nor was there any mention of the hotel beach showers literally attached to the room’s ground floor balcony. Had we known that the pool was not in service we wouldn’t have even proceeded to book it since our 2 1/2 year old loves the pool, then when you get there and ask where the pool is they give you directions to another hotel that they say is only a 1/2 mile walk down the road, which we found out the hard way in 92 degree heat with a toddler and all necessary supplies that the directions were wrong, and it’s almost double the 1/2 mile they told us. I spoke with 3 different people at the front desk over the phone and each gave me different directions, so out of frustration in learning we had to walk an additional 1/4 mile down a busy road with no walking/biking lanes with out toddler ended up hiking all the way back to the hotel and never got to use a pool during our four days and we’re still charged full price.
This is on top of not being told in the description of the hotel room that there was a public shower attached to our ground level balcony that you could literally look down into people showering. Upon checking out there was no interest in our experience.
