Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Montrose-Townsend, an IHG Hotel

Last night we had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn in Montrose. I booked a last minute stay at like 8pm because of a nightmare hotel we were booked at that had literal pee stains in the bed. I had been traveling all day with 3 small kids who were exhausted and hadn’t napped and I just wanted to bathe them and put them to sleep. I walked into the Holiday Inn crying out of frustration and Whitney stepped in and went above and beyond to help me. They didn’t have a room big enough for my group and she brought us a roller bed and upgraded us into a suite so the roller could fit. She offered popsicles to my exhausted kids and even brought coloring sheets and crayons. She turned our horrible night around and we honestly had a rock solid night of sleep in a comfortable and safe and CLEAN hotel. Thank you Whitney!!! Give this girl a raise!

We stayed here while visiting family. The staff were very polite and helpful. They have a very nice lobby/ sitting area. Hotel was quiet which was perfect for us. We enjoyed our stay and will plan to stay here again for our next visit.

The staff was very nice but the building has no soundproofing and you can hear every step that every guest in the whole building takes. Little kids running up and down the halls sounds like a herd of elephants.

We stayed for three nights. Room was very clean and we were happy with its size (for two adults and two kids). Our room had a broken ironing board, and the front desk was all over getting me a new one quick. Excellent service and they were so kind to our kids who are six and three years old. Kids particularly enjoyed the indoor pool. Wish breakfast wasn't the same each day we were there, but other than that, we had a great stay.

We always stay here when visiting Montrose. This is our tenth trip to Montrose and have never been disappointed. Clean room, good breakfast even for our Celiac family member, friendly staff. Also a popular stop for others in the summer. We see many people from different parts of the country and world when we are there. Would recommend a say here.

Went to play golf at Black Canyon, a short distance away. This HIexpress is typical of the new upgraded facilities. Room was great, breakfast good, but were out of eggs. They were renovating the lobby so it was a bit of a mess, but totally understandable to keep up the quality of the stay. Located in the middle of town so convenient to most attractions in town. Wasn't overly thrilled that the rescue mission was next door, but did not see any transients or unsavory types at all and facility is well maintained so it turned out well. I would recommend this to any but would be wary if small children are with you.
