The floors were not cleaned properly. The A.C. unit was old and loud. It was not a quiet night! Lots of noisy people in the halls until early morning hours. Our neighbors had young children who were allowed to run around and yell until past midnight. I did not get much sleep.

This stay was a disaster on a whole new level. We arrived shortly after a huge hail storm. The desk manager was rude and inconsiderate and actually lied that they had a tornado that nearly touched down. My family said it was just a bad summer storm. We had rain coming in the window and running down the ledge into the heater. Keep in mind we had driven up from AZ so from 113 to 68 is a huge shift not to have a heater. We were afraid to run it because generally water and electricity do no mix. When I went down to ask if the maintenance man could come by and check to see if we could run it the dest manager said "oh since you are from AZ you think you need heat". I wanted to tell her to come down here when it is 113 and see if she wants air conditioning. The maintenance man never came up, so we had to finally turn it on and it was ok. I know there were many rooms as bad as ours or worse. This could have been a 5 minute job. There is mold around the bathtub which was disgusting The towels were pretty old and rough. The wash cloths were great, but we managed to get on large towel that was aged but the two smaller towels were pathetic, they were corse and felt like they had been hung out to dry. I wanted to cancel my reservation, but she said I had made the reservation through Epedia and I would have to cancel it through them. I don't know if Hotels.com is under the Expedia brand or if this was just anther lie. I could not cancel it because we had no internet or tele

Evonne has to be the worst supervisor of all time. I asked to borrow a pair of scissors use them right there at the desk. No, we don't have any. We let a guest borrow them and never brought them back. She never batted an eye when I found empty bottles of vodka in my room that had not been there the day before as well as a bottle of butane fuel. She could not tell me how any of it had gotten into my room, refused to give me credit for that night as I was leaving and refused to give my parking fee back. I have been banned from this hotel because it was 11 pm when this all occurred and I was very upset, tired, and scared (who was leaving vodka bottles and butane fuel in my room?) so I may have voiced my concern to incoming guests with small children. As I was going back and forth my daughter was loading up the dolly with our bags and the man staying two doors down across the hall approaches her and asks for her age, was she ok? Seems like she is in an abusive relationship.. It was 11:45pm! So I shouted that she was my daughter and to leave her alone sicko! So Evonne called the rent a cop to make sure I didn't start any trouble. Not one of them helped us leave at Midnight, not one. Don't you worry about me EVER staying there, it would be a very cold day in Hell before I would even think about staying there,

Hot tub advertised has broken water jets they dont intend on fixing. My wife and i wanted to relax in the hot tub but the swimming pool/hot tub area was out of control with kids screaming, yelling and the echoes from all this was the loudest I have ever heard. The bathroom cabnet had trash and an half eaten candy sucker in it. The window curtain was torn and ragged. The sink stopper was broken and i had to remove it to get the sink to drain. The closet door was just missing. The TV w is very small for a hotel. This is a old hotel with outdated scratched up furniture but was probably nice back in the early 80's. This hotel is not for me but mabe an excellent place to let your kid's run ramped.

Nothing seem to work in our room; tv, hair dryer, outlets. For the price, thats pretty pathetic. The front desk kid apoligized for the crappy room he was about to give us, and not one staff member offered to help with all of our bags despite my obvious struggles to get them up the stairs with a 6yo and 3yo in tow. The price doesn't match the lack of value.

I have stayed here over the years and even though there are newer (more expensive) hotels in Grand Junction I still choose to stay here. Yes, it's showing its age. Yes, the parking fee is an unwelcoming fee. But, the price was right even with the parking fee because I am a budget-conscious traveler. The room was clean, towels are decent, bed comfortable, and check-in/out easy. This visit I got upgraded to a junior suite, which had a great view (mainly of the big, expensive hotel across the way, but I still could see the beautiful sunset), with a very comfortable king-size bed and spacious bathroom. I also got a coupon for a complimentary drink that made up for the parking fee in my mind. Bailey's bar where I had dinner (with my free glass of wine) has a happy hour food menu with $10 choices and that worked for me instead of driving to one of the many fast food joints. All in all, this is fine for a 1 or 2 night stay, especially if you don't want to "break the bank" for that stay.

Pool area not cleaned very well. Water murky, trash through out pool area and pretty sure a baby had a diaper blowout on the edge of the pool wall. Restaurant on the main floor that has loud live music every night. You have to pay for parking nightly $14 a night. Parking lot is very tight. My vehicle was hit in the lot and by paying for said parking I agreed to their terms that they’re not responsible which you don’t know that till after they collect payment and give you the parking pass that states that. For the cost through Expedia it was an okay stay. I don’t think I’ll be staying again. Location is convenient. The room itself wasn’t cleaned very well. Found crusty eyelashes from previous guest still in the bathroom and a nose ring. Old food in fridge still.

I love Grand Vista in Grand Junction, Colorado. They always treat me like family and I’ve never had a complaint about my room.
I was unhappy with the food at the restaurant, but I don’t know if it’s considered part of my stay.
