Not really the hotel’s fault but a few rooms down, there was a group of kids partying and tampered with smoke detector and smoking in hall and room. They set off the fire alarm in the hotel for about 45 min so that was pretty irritating. However, the group did get evicted from their room so I have to give props to the Holiday inn Management. They handled as quickly as they could and took care of the situation.

We got a really bad La Quinta originally, when we got to the La Quinta it was covered in mold and the sheets were dirty and it was disgusting. We are on a budget and we're not able to afford something like $200 a night for a basic hotel which is what most other hotels in area were. It was either very dirty garbage hotel for like $80 a night or very expensive. We were lucky to find this one and there was one room left and I believe it was about 150 a night which is still expensive in my opinion but much better and it came out to about $100 less than the next best option. It was a little bit out of the way from Golden where the family events were but it was worth it to have a clean bathroom and sheets. The TV was a little dated and it was difficult to change the channels and the volume was weird so I think those TVs need replacement and there was no microwave and the shower was a little weak but the water heat was good and the water softness was good. Everyone was friendly and everything was mostly very clean. I did see a little bit of scum in the shower but overall it was clean. They also use good soap, it is Dove brand. Just be careful if you park in the first row of the parking lot because there is a divider and if you try to pull through you will mess up your vehicle unless it's an off-roader. Did not try the restaurant but it smelled good looked like a good menu.

The hotel is very nice, except for the stairs. The stairs are gross and concerning. There are parts that need looked at and fixing such as major cracks in the walls. It’s a pretty gross stairway. Plus, one die takes you to the side of the building with no sidewalk or way to get to a parking lot. We walked out at night which is a bit frightening with a little one and had to walk through the grass and behind another building. It was not ideal at all. Another issue was the front desk workers that night. I overheard them talking poorly about a bride that was staying there. It was quite disappointing. Another thing, it smells like weed inside and outside of the building, the elevator and hallways. I noticed there were no smoking signs within 15 feet of the building everywhere, yet people were right outside smoking, which is super unhealthy for pregnant women, children, and others with health problems. And it’s gross. We will not be back and won’t be suggesting this hotel to anybody unless changes are made.

We came here for a funeral at a National Cemetery. The hotel personnel went above and beyond with their help and courtesy! About 35 family members either stayed here or joined us to share memories

Room was clean. Beds were too soft for my preference. TV package could have been better, especially when traveling with small children. Overall, it was OK...nothing to write home about.

We had 3 nights here & overall it was perfect for my husband, 3 kids (16, 15, & 10) & myself. Their only adjoining rooms are 1 with 2 queens & a King in the other. The brought in a very pathetic broken hide-a-bed. We opted for using the mattress on the floor for our 10 yr old. The outdoor pool was great. The indoor hot tub was OK & used by MANY! It's close to places for eating & if you travel down the main road you have everything you want for restaurants & some shopping. The staff was accomodating & met our needs. (printer wasn't working so they printed out not only our boarding passes but tickets to a Rockies game. The rooms were quiet tho' by a highway. The restaurant in lobby had delicious food. It is away from the airport by 45 minutes if you don't run into traffic. I used the laundry room at $1.50 per washer & $2.00 for the dryer giving you 99 minutes which was used for 2 washer loads.

Staff were very helpful and professional. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Only problem was the hot water for the shower. It took several minutes for it to warm up enough to be tolerable. By the end of my shower, it was nice and toasty though. Also, having the mini fridge was one of the reasons we booked (very helpful as we have a newborn and we weren't sure if we were going to need a fridge), it would have been nice if we could have located a microwave somewhere on the property though.
