My family and I could tell that the property is a work in progress. The room was clean but our space had some issues that were addressed with the property manager. If i had to critique it would be that the beds were super stiff

We stayed at Nicky's Resort for a couple's weekend getaway to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. The contactless check-in was convenient, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much. We walked the property and along the edge of the stream. It was nice to see so many options for family fun like the clean swimming pool, putting green, playground, etc.

We found Nicky's Resort to be a great place for our family and friends to stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with pretty new wood finish throughout, a small air conditioner in each bedroom and a large TV and fireplace in the living room, which included a pull-out futon. We had a deck with a large table and a grill, which allowed us to have more meals "at home" instead of eating out all the time, though there's also a restaurant next door which we ate at. The kitchen included all the utensils we needed. The bathroom included extra toiletries (toothbrushes, toothpaste, first aid kit, etc.), which came in handy for us and was an unexpected bonus we haven't seen elsewhere (a nice touch on the owner's part). Check-in is completely online but when we needed assistance staff were available via phone to help and the housekeeping staff were very helpful on site as well. The pool was nice and clean (with extra towels nearby) and there's also a small putt-putt golf green as well as a fire pit and corn hole boards on site, which created a very inviting environment for us and other guests and kept our kids entertained. There's a river which flows right by/through the site. It's also close to the north entry into Rocky Mountain National Park on US34, which appears to be the less busy of the two entries from Estes Park. We were very pleased with the resort and would definitely stay here again!

We stayed in the Moose Haven cabin 2. My family and I had such a wonderful experience staying in this cabin. It was in the middle of the two major reason for our visit, not more than 3 to 5 minutes to town or one of RMNP entrances. The cabin itself was equipped with everything we needed for our 2 night stay, including spices and seasonings for cooking with necessary utensils. They even had extra personal need items available if you forgot things such as toothbrush/paste or deodorant. They had a nice variety of board games, books, fishing poles, some sporting equipment, a fire pit and a gas grill for your cabin use only. There is a Safeway and dollar tree minutes away, we were able to purchase groceries for our stay. We didn’t use the pool, it was too cold for that, but was nice to know it was there. I was worried about renting a cabin with my children as a single parent, this place took my worries away, it was more like staying in someone’s home rather than a “motel.” I definitely recommend for families, I hope they keep their prices reasonable as well, the amount we paid was more than reasonable for what we were provided. I would definitely stay here again if ever back in the area. Thank you Nicks Resort for a great experience.

I did not recieve check in information prior to arriving to Estes. Had to call and ask customer service at Nickys resort for door code. Customer service was very friendly! Once arriving in our cabin we found there to be very few paper towels and no baking sheet for oven. Again called Nickys resort, they brought both over right away. Very friendly! Our stay was warm and cozy but the cabin was not stocked with enough silverware or plates or bowls for the amount of people that stayed. We had five and it said it sleeps 6. The toilet was loose and any time you sat down or got up it rocked/moved. There were broken floor panels in one of the bedrooms that one of my kids caught their sock on and ripped it. The floor was very dirty and out feet/ socks were black by the end of the day. Our stay was good and gave us time away from home but overall I would not reccomend this cabin unless it gets a very good cleaning! A bit disappointing forvthe money we paid!

This was our second time staying at Nicky’s, we really enjoy the atmosphere and location. We stayed in the fall of 2021 previously and our only complaint then was it needed some upgrades which they have definitely done since. We would definitely stay again. Our only issue was the fitted sheet on the bed was too small and constantly slipped off causing us to get up multiple times a night and fix the bed then turn to using the top sheet instead. The place is very family friendly and the staff was very kind as well as the restaurant staff.

We didn’t quite enjoy it, we are a family of 4 with young children and it’s not the place for families. Nothing bad, but the place is pretty run down and in the end it’s a Motel, not a resort. It’s close to one of the entrances of the National Park so that was convenient but thats it.

Not Clean. We hated the smell in the room and the bathroom. I noticed the bathroom drain was not clean, it still had someone's hair in it. No wonder their was musty, moldy smell all over the bathroom coming into the room. It's pricey for what it offers. For a little more money, you should get some place that is cleaner for your family.
