Super cool hotel in the heart of cherry creek, walkable to everything. We stayed as a family of 4 and the rooftop pool was very swanky yet family friendly. Will definitely stay here again!

Awesome service. Wonderful amenities. As a family vacation we came to Colorado to see the Rocky Mountains. On our last day before our flight we chose The Halcyon to see a bit of Denver. We had the amenities to reserve bikes. My husband reserved a Vespa, and my daughter and I reserved bicycles (helmets & locks were provided as well) - it was a breeze to make the reservations. The resort fee covers this plus free espresso drinks, wine/beer, and fresh fruit at the counters. To top it off, the Halcyon also gives its patrons tickets to the amazing Botanical Gardens of Denver! We rode our bikes there and thoroughly enjoyed the gardens! After we came back, we got to thoroughly enjoy the rooftop pool with new views of the mountains in the distance. The room was beautifully appointed- we enjoyed the record player and comfy beds! The bathroom with white/grey marble herringbone tile in the shower and gold hardware aesthetic was in point. Great soaps/lotions as well. I would definitely recommend the Halcyon to family & friends. I’m actually also going to look up their sister property Cliff House in Maine.

We’ve stayed here 4 times over the years with children. With fees =$1400 for 2 nights. Window faced brick wall, no light. Horrified by semen-looking mark on comforter, noticed when leaving. Clearly not washed every time. No response from manager, thus negative review. Also adjoining restaurant, waitress brought us wrong bill at much higher cost, bad acting… pretty sure intentional and she would then keep the difference. Not worth it, at all. Used to be amazing, now just upsetting and costly.

We selected this hotel while driving across the country. I must say, it was complete disappointment - and I say this from the background of my prior holding company operating hotels.
I would say unequivocally that this is the worst value of any hotel I have ever stayed at.
1. We received a text confirming our reservation and suggesting any communication be sent via text. Wonderful. I respond with our arrival time, request a late check out, and notify them that my two daughters (10 & 8) are traveling with me. Given it is a boutique hotel, this information is a softball - cookies for the kids, a kid sized robes, or otherwise.
No response... but we'll get to that later.
2. Staff was unpleasant, with the exception of the valet crew. Actually, the demeanor of the front desk was that of being entirely inconvenienced. Interacting them was painful.
3. The room was fine. Nothing special, particularly the views. I had a lovely view of gravel and the adjacent parking garage. See the picture. For this price point, very unappealing.
4. The thermostat was broken and failed to drop the room below 78 degrees. Obviously, there was an issue. Furthermore, from a distribution perspective, the design appeared poorly thought out (read cheap).
5. The craftmanship was very poor. While the finishes are nice, if you look at the execution you'll note poor craftmanship. Grout lines disappearing mid way through floors and etc. Not a major issue.

Great Location, nice staff. The room was clean on the first day, but not much after that.
They have coffee, bikes and drinks for "free" at the front desk. I am glad I used the bike and coffee, because they charge you $30.00 per day for the free amenities. So, be sure to use them.
The pool is ok. But this is not a place to go with kids. Adults stay drinking inside the narrow pool and it is hard to swim or play in it. Very few places of shade. Mostly it is for Hipsters. I enjoyed my stay but will not come back.

Were told we could check-in at 2 as we were in town for a wedding that began at 4. The room was not ready and the front desk kept assuring us it would be ready soon so we waited to get ready thinking we would be in the room soon. Finally, we had to get ready for the wedding in a family members room and were ultimately late for a close family wedding. Had we been told an accurate estimate of when we would gain access to the room, we could have made plans to get ready elsewhere. The entire process was incredibly stressful and disappointing and could have been easily managed by an honest estimate of when the room would be ready by hotel management. Added memorable stress and chaos to what should have been a perfect day which is a bummer.
