Pacific Crest Hotel Santa Barbara

We had a great time at the Pacific Crest. Great location, walkable to beach, park and State street. Very clean and comfortable. The staff was great. The kids loved the pool too.

What a lie! This property is not even close to being a 9.4 rating. Don't be fooled by those nice pictures. This place shouldn't even be on any travel website. RUN, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. I would rather sleep on the beach. We travel alot with the kids and I have never seen a crappier motel. We just left, they wouldnt refund us, but at this point who cares. Checked in at 9pm and we left right away. No way I would let my kids sleep here. I'd rather take the lost than stay at this place. Unsafe, dirty roach motel. Look somewhere else.

This is a family run, very well appointed small hotel. Room was recently remodeled and although small had absolute everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Immaculately clean, quiet room plus real ground coffee from a local roaster. Host was very eager to show us around and recommend local restaurants. It was too cold to swim but the pool sparkled and the grounds were tastefully decorated. would stay again.

Enjoyed the Fifties vibe of a family-owned motel just off the beach, but with modern amenities. Hadn't expected a personalized tour but the proprietor wanted to ensure every guest knew what was available understood the hours for the pool, front desk, etc. Great bed, very nice linens, and overall more than we expected.

Tried staying here 6-10-18 walk in to the counter at around 8:30 pm and the owner proceeds to wonder where I have been all day and made it seem like it an inconvenience that he had to be there waiting for me. He didn't show any hospitality whatsoever. Then as I'm giving him my information he asks how many people were staying? I proceeded to say My wife and 3 year old daughter. He then says oh now we're going to have a problem and starts berating me about how the room is only for 2 people maximum and that they have rules and what not. I told him that my we were basically going to just sleep for night and she would be no trouble as my daughter was already asleep. He said that the room was strictly only for 2 people and that he wouldn't give us the room. That somehow there rooms where too small to house 2 people and 3 year old that sleeps with their parents. I have never stayed anywhere or even heard that had a room with a queen size bed that couldn't accommodate a toddler or that it was even an issue. He said call "Expedia" and he emphatically said he wouldn't do anything for us. Absolute Jerk of an owner showing no remorse leaving a family without a room to stay for the night and basically stealing their money. I Ended up talking to "Expedia" about it who proceed to call the hotel and happens to speak to a guy about the situation she said he wouldn't give his name and hangs up and doesn't answer their call multiple times only saying that he wouldn't refund anything.
