Kimpton Canary Hotel, an IHG Hotel

My family and I had such a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The restaurant downstairs was great. The room was so spacious and lovely. We will definitely be back again!

Filthy room with worn furniture (chips at the base of the dresser), dirt on the floor, pipes not working and no hot water upon arrival, thin walls, no gym (golds gym that they provide access to is gross), no attendees present in parking/having to wait 15 minutes or more for someone to show up, inappropriately hosting a business event over the weekend making the roof inaccessible. This hotel is also not particularly child friendly or accessible — very little safe place to maneuver a wheelchair or stroller at the entrance, and no changing table in either public gender bathroom (before their extremely relatively late check in time of 4p, I ended up changing my five month in public on a bench in the mezzanine because there was no safe and private place to do so). Unimaginably rude staff including a front desk asst manager who said my best option was to cut my vacation short and “just go home” if I didn’t like the hotel. Really sad and pathetic what’s passing for four star these days.
