Sonesta Simply Suites Irvine East Foothill

This is my favorite hotel whenever I visit my family in Lake Forest. It's clean, spacious, comfortable, and conveniently located. Starbucks is within walking distance along with a few restaurants. It's a pet friendly hotel; there are plenty of grassy areas surrounding the premises to walk a dog. I stay here at least once a month when visiting family.

Friendly staff. Really nice to have a kitchen in the room. Has laundry and gym. Pet friendly which was great, since we had our little "baby" with us. Overall great value.

The staff at the front desk were amazing! Incredibly helpful. The condition of the hotel around some of the walls in the hallway looks a bit worn. But the rooms are great: full kitchen, large bathroom, and super comfortable bed. Nice fitness room. There’s one computer in the foyer that can be used for free. Pets are welcome for $75 up to 7 nights. Starbucks, McDonalds, KFC, and El Pollo Loco are within walking distance. Lake Forest is beautiful; lots of trees. I will stay at this hotel often to visit family and friends.

The staff here is super helpful and wonderful. They provided amazing service for my family when we needed it most.

When first arriving at the property things seems nice. I had called when Made my reservation to inform them I had a dog with me. It would be me (6 months pregnant) And my 3 year old niece and a dog. So I knew it was going to be hard to juggle. After checking in I noticed they had put my room directly in front of a snack room. At first I thought this would be a positive. That quickly changed. Around 7 or 8pm I called the front desk and ask if anything could be done about the door slamming I was told no. I was also told the room is 24hours. At 11pm when I have a crying toddler and a barking dog I called back and offered some suggestions. Can a sign be put up asking for the door not to be slammed. At 12 or 1 I demanded the door be left open so I could get some rest. Why the hotel or front desk girl thought it would be a good idea to put a dog and a toddler in front of a door that slams ALL NIGHT LONG. I booked this room so I could spend time with my nieces and make my life easier while I was in lake forest. Instead I spent almost $200 to be kept up all night. After calling the hotel with my complaints I was offered a pet refund. A total of $25 was offered as a refund. Then asked me if I would be willing to return. $25 does NOT make up for an absolutely awful night. It’s an insult.
