Old property that has been remodeled resulting in a mixed bag of conditions but charges a premium price. The facelift is mostly focused on the exterior of the hotel and is successful in conveying a clean modern look complete with painted cow to distract Instagram kids. The cracks become more apparent once you make it to your room and squeeze into the narrow shower or notice that the sliding glass door that doesn’t shut completely is definitely 40 years old. Be also prepared for a hefty dose of resort and other fees, I paid another 40-something on top of my room fees for mandatory internet, pool, parking and other resort fees for my one night stay.

Really lovely experience staying here. Good hotel with nice amenities. Check in was easy with friendly staff. Hotel is well located with good parking and is easy to get into local areas or order an uber. Rooms are good size, big bed, nice bathroom etc. Only cons from our stay were:- - very noisy air conditioning unit - young men jumping, bombing, back flipping into the pool and no one addressing this when there were people trying to enjoy the pool themselves with families etc

This is an amazing location and it was perfect for my family with small children. Dining options were just a short walking distance such as Sur and From Scratch. Also the property was beautiful and contemporary and the staff were friendly. We would definitely stay here again and bring our dogs.

This is second visit we love the pool basically. Would like refund for 30. Parking. We had to park very far away in the dark with little kids didnt feel safe or convenient for 30.00

This property is outstanding. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. Easy access to all that Carmel and Monterey offer. The vintage look and feel of the property with all the beautiful foliage was exceptional. The pool and hot tub were a hit with the grandkids. We loved everything about our stay here and will definitely be planning another stay in the near future.

It was a nice property, only issue I had was that the door bolt was not working properly and after someone came over to check it out, I was told that I didn’t need the door bolt to lock because the door wouldn’t open from the outside without a room key which didn’t leave me feeling very safe especially when staying there with my child. I chose not to request another room since we were already settled in and it was really late after having traveled for about 6 hours and wanting to just rest.

The Carmel Mission Inn was great, very modern, upscale amenities, and the pool is very family friendly! The happy hour by the pool was also a great addition. We really enjoyed our stay!

Really nice property and beautiful hotel. Shopping & restaurants next door. Food is great on site as well at the Sherwood Tavern. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. Will come again for another staycation.
