My mother and I stayed at the Tides for two nights. We had a ground floor room with two queen size beds, a mini fridge and a coffee maker. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There were trees but we still had a good view of the water from our windows and patio. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and clean. We were steps away from the pool and gym area. The equipment in the gym was new and in good shape. The pool and spa were inviting. The buildings are on a hillside and the grounds are nicely kept. We had dinner the Bay View restaurant at the hotel which was excellent. In the morning we saw a family of quail in the bushes and heard owls in the trees. They provide breakfast at the Tides Wharf restaurant which is across the road. The continental breakfast is included with the reservation and you can order additional food for a discount. Doran beach is about a 10 minute drive. It was a relaxing weekend getaway. Recommended.

Beautiful!!! We didn’t know what to expect and our unit looked out on the bay and a field. We watched the weather change and cows come in to graze. A deer ran by and a coyote was running around too. The hotel itself is old, but they really maintain and keep it updated. Very generous (free bottle of wine included!) The pool was also very nice, but busy. Lots of kids and families.
We ate 3 meals from the hotel across the street. It’s kind of an overpriced time warp of a restaurant. Excellent views and cool shopping options and it’s a location from The Birds! But the food itself has probably not been updated since The Birds was released. Hosts and other employees very nice but actual waitstaff was odd. Do get the free continental breakfast. It was a nice and generous meal. Don’t order room service if you can avoid it. It’s just very expensive for what you get.

We were pleasantly surprised when we reached the hotel. From the greeting that we got upon checking in to the room and the dining. We were not expecting such accommodations so far off of the beaten path.
We were unaware of the history but enjoyed leaning about it and it took us both back to our childhoods and how that film made us feel.

Our stay was excellent. We had a family reunion/Celebration of Life for my older sister that died in November last year. The younger family members camped at Bodega Dunes but I wanted to be nearby because I don’t camp anymore! We were so happy to choose The Inn At The Tides! Everything was perfect. The Tides Restaurant had some tasty meals for dinner and breakfast! A shout-out to Rebecca from The Inn At The Tides, she was so courteous over the phone. This trip was wonderful and no doubt, we’ll be back! Thank you again!

Great place. Fun experience. We booked a king bed (double-double) with a couch bed and a firplace. Fireplace was great. The view was of the bay and was nice. Breakfast was ok. Continental is what it is. The experience at the Tides was better than the food watching seals, sealions, and pelicans. The pool was fun, however old and outdated with decay. The beds were terrible. We are younger with healthy bodies and both beds (kids on the couch) were absolutely terrible. For $450/night there should be better beds.

We have stayed before and were just a bit disappointed that after notifying staff twice that we had a party of four earlier in the day… when we got back to the hotel late there were no sheets on the couch bed, no extra sheets to be found and no blankets. Very tired kids used make shift blankets from the car and one of the two slept with parents. Wasn’t the best sleep.

My family and I loved the location of the Inn. We walked across to the Tides Restaurant there, enjoyed a wonderful seafood dinner, did some shopping, and returned to the Inn for a relaxing swim in the pool and hot tub. The walk in Sauna was a bonus. Really beautiful hotel, with a wonderful view looking towards the Bay and sunset. Loved seeing the deer grazing near our room the following morning. A really wonderful experience staying there. 2 big thumbs up!!

What a great place to unwind and take in our beautiful home. The rooms were spacious and the views/gardens/pool area were great! Not to mention the pricing- keeping affordable means we will come back even more. I was initially coming w/ my 1 family unit of four and we ended up coming with 19 people! We all loved this place :) One feedback- please upgrade and get firmer mattresses. Thanks for the enjoyable stay!
