Holiday Inn Express Hope, an IHG Hotel

Convenient to Hope and Bill Clinton childhood home. First room we were given smelled bad. We asked and were assigned another room, which was better but not free of some odor. I think this hotel should replace carpet with a hard surface as many hotels are doing.

The woman at the front desk when we checked in at close to midnight was lovely. She even upgraded our room free of charge, because she knew we were traveling with a toddler & that allowed us to use the pull out couch for one of our other kids so the toddler could sleep in bed with one of us parents.

Staff were all very pleasant and kind. Room and bathroom were nothing special but clean. All we needed was one night and it was sufficient. For anyone reading this who is traveling with young children, from one mom to another: PLEASE learn how to discipline your children and teach them to be considerate of others in a hotel. When small children are screaming at 7am in the hallway, it is not the hotel’s fault. It’s the parents’ fault. You are being rude and extremely inconsiderate. When you TEACH your children to behave in public, you are giving them skills for life. When you don’t, you are setting them up for trouble and failure.

Stayed in Hope to visit family, room was great on the first floor, staff was very accommodating to our itinerary, breakfast was great. One word of advise, go early as breakfast disappears quick.

We got to the hotel about an hour earlier than when we could check in. I decided to stop in and see if our room was ready and we could check in early. I was told that the room was not clean yet. This is at 2 PM. OK so we went and found some thing else to do for another hour. After we got checked in, we were kind of confused because the pull out bed had no sheets, no blankets, no pillows. No, we’re in the room were sheets, blankets or pillows for this particular bed. I had two granddaughters with me and a grandson. The grandson was going to sleep on the pull out sofa. Anyhow, we decided to just relax for a little bit. The kids went to the pool and I just unpacked. I noticed in the bathroom that there was water damage on, the corner of a wall next to the bathtub. I chose to ignore it. About this time doors up and down the hall started slamming one right after another and it continued all night. Between doors slamming, and a dog barking. This was the most uncomfortable stay in a hotel that I have experienced in a long time.

Excellent hotel. Very clean n comfy. I traveled solo with my small kids n it was perfect. The hotel staff was very friendly even though we checked in after 10pm due to us traveling. The greeted us with a smile!! I felt safe in the area being a single mom. The beds were very comfy too.

The staff was very helpful as one of our kids got sick during the night and they provided me with extra supplies to assist with the situation.

Staff and breakfast was great. Our room was by some kids that made a lot of noise and was hard to get to sleep the last night there. Was bad parenting not bad hotel.
