The Westin Tempe

Have been here multiple times and just love it. We love to stay in summer and take advantage of the pool. Love when the bar is open and they kids and adults can enjoy swimming and listening to upbeat music. The restaurant is lovely and happy to use food vouchers there. Nice to get coffee and margarita vouchers. Made such a nice stay without really needing to leave the property.

great for kids

This was a beautiful property in a great location. Valet and check-in were a breeze. I had a great room on the 11th floor with an amazing view. I went up to the rooftop pool in the evening with the plan to have a drink and stay a bit, but stayed for two hours enjoying the weather and the view. There were two small downsides. There was not a “do not disturb” sign in my room, so at first I assumed they did not have them, but I saw other rooms with them later. On the first morning, housekeeping came at about 8:45 and I said “not right now, thank you!” I left about an hour later and was gone until 4:30. When I arrived back housekeeping had never come back. Not a huge deal, but 8:45 is pretty early on a vacation to be the only opportunity for housekeeping. The second downside I found out the second night. I had a room that had a conjoining door to the room next door, but was traveling solo. A family checked in and I could hear every single word the kids and parents said through the walls and it did not sound like they were yelling. I was honestly a little uncomfortable watching shows that were not child-friendly! While the hotel was otherwise beautiful, this could be a dealbreaker for me if I were not traveling solo as I am a private person! I know that it’s not something the Westin can really change, but it is something I would want to be aware of as a traveler!

great spot to go for a girls weekend but pool was not great for kids. More of an adult friendly hotel. It was cute, clean, and the DJ at the pool was fun!

My family and I absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Westin Tempe. The room was perfectly clean and comfortable but most importantly it smelled wonderful. My kids enjoyed the pool and had a great time. We definitely plan on going back some time this summer.

They had a boiler issue so had to take cold showers. Service was terrible I called down 3 times to have our room serviced and no one came, so we went two nights without our room being serviced. Staff seem young maybe local college kids that don’t have customer service experience. Very underwhelming new property. Won’t stay again.

Beautiful new hotel. The staff was great. Love the Decour. The only tiny downside is that the rooftop pool is not especially family friendly. It is very small and right next to the bar and lounge area. However the rooftop is beautiful and has amazing views.

We come to Arizona for family and house hunting monthly. We have stayed at The Four Seasons, Hyatt, The Scott etc, and not one had the attentiveness or comfort of this hotel. Our check-in was quick and the gentleman asked us if we wanted him to open the market for snacks as the kitchen was closed. So incredibly considerate and above all other hotels. The room was clean and updated. The bed and pillow are beyond comfortable. I slept in and I NEVER do that! We will book here from now on.
