Perle Oban Hotel & Spa

Chosen for location and didnt dissapoint. Unfortunately we were only there for two days and meeting family so didnt get the chance to use the soa services. Breakfast was good, dinnet good and bar good. Allround good break. Will be back

My suite was lovely but slightly lacking. I had a chair at a desk for makeup but above it was a tv and not a mirror. The bathroom lighting was poor and the wide countertop at the mirror made it sgain impossible to do my makeup without my glasses. As a person with mobility issues, the beautiful window chairs were impractical for me as they had no arms on them and meant i could not help myself out of them without assistance from others. A mini fridge in a 4 star hotel for fresh water/medication etc should have been a basic but was missing. To reach my room i used the lift but then had 4 steps down then a further two. Neither had bannisters, so again, were impossible for me to negotiate without assistance from my family. A fire alarm went off in the early morning, which turned out to be a false alarm. I found this out be calling reception myself as no one advised us. No apology was made for the rude awakening on checking out.

It was our first trip to Oban and we stayed 2 nights at the Perle so that we could be close to everything at the waterfront. We had a fantastic experience! We had a junior suite with beautiful water views - definitely worth the extra money. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even offering to book dinner reservations for us and make massage appointments. The hotel is right by the water and in walking distance to everything downtown - the Oban distillery, several restaurants, a mile walk down the waterfront walkway from the Dunnolie castle, it was very ideal. We walked to the ferry and took a ride to the Isle of Mull, walked to Dunnolie and the McCaig Tower, etc. There is no parking on-site but there is a car lot (pay lot) 2 blocks away. The surroundings are quiet and safe and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was delicious and the coffee was the best we had in Scotland. I would highly recommend staying here and definitely visiting Oban.

One of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed at! Little touches everywhere. Bose Bluetooth speaker on the nightstand, with top-shelf bath products. Parking was more convenient than we anticipated (1 block behind the hotel for £12). Perfect location for visiting Oban. Staff was very friendly and kid-welcoming. We will stay here again.

Excellent! Very comfortable room with a great ocean view. Plenty of room in the suite for an extra bed for our kid.

We were only there for one night as visiting family locally, but we enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable, friendly and efficient staff, service at breakfast very good and we did like the fact there was no self service!
