I stayed there with family and the staff were friendly throughout our stay. The location is perfect and a stones throw away from the peace bridge and town centre. The main thing with the hotel is how outdated the hotel is. It could do with a renovation to the rooms, the lobby and the fitness centre. They are all okay but are outdated and could benefit from this.

The location is perfect for Derry centre and the room (family size) felt very comfortable for our small family of 3. The car parking downstairs is very tight but an added benefit and the swimming pool was a great hit with our son.

I had ordered a family roo. For me and my 2 sons. But i didnt selet it was a adult and 2 children. Wen i got to hotel they said i boooked to adults. But that it was no problem at all and it didnt affect our stay. The staff were so so nice. So helpful. My son is serverly disabled and he was treated with so much respect. Staff went above and beyond.

Everything was excellent apart from the noise at night. There must have been a wedding on and the music was extremely loud therefore not able to sleep to 2am. With a 4 month old baby this was not ideal, disappointing as everything else was good.

We have visited this hotel on numerous occasions over the last 14 years and are sorry to say that standards are slipping especially in the restaurant. On arrival we were well looked after at check in, even when we got to the room we were pleasantly surprised to find they had left a gluten free bar with the tea and coffee as i had told them that one of our party is coeliac. At breakfast they used to cook a separate gluten free breakfast but this time we seen the server just fill the plate from the buffet which could easily be cross contaminated with gluten from other guests using utensils on each product. This happened on both mornings. Also the food was cold. We were staying in a family room. When we returned later in the day we discovered that only one of the beds had been made and the other was left in a heap. On our final morning we were asked to wait for a table at breakfast, even though we could see plenty empty places. We gave our room number and sat in the lounge as we were asked. We noticed that a lot of others were getting tables straight away and after about 20 minutes waiting the lady that took our room number passed us and asked "are you waiting on a table for breakfast?". She then told us that our number had been called and nobody showed so they marked us off. Nobody came over to call any number near us. The rooms are getting very dated and the bathroom needs an upgrade badly. Its unfortunate because we used to love staying in this hotel.
