A nice hotel, rooms were good quality and standard although slightly small for a family of 3 with a double sofa bed.
The staff were excellent, always very polite friendly and helpful from the moment we walked through the door to check in.
The initial room we were allocated was to close to the lifts and stairs so we asked to love to a quieter area, the staff were very accommodating and made the change immediately for us.
The breakfast was nice but I felt sorry for the staff as they were very short staffed and couldn’t keep up with the restocking and cleaning of tables. I also think the breakfast tea could be bigger for the number of guest rooms they have.
Overall nice hotel, very convenient especially for Drayton Manor theme park which was the reason for our trip. I would recommend this hotel because of the staff, rooms and location.

Hotel is in a great location and within walking distance of cinema and nice restaurant nearby. Snowdome next door is awesome and we went swimming there but didn't try out the skiing or ice skating.
Breakfast was fine and always plenty of food available. Everywhere clean and staff very friendly and helpful.
Only downside are the beds. Way too soft, but no point in complaining as I'm sure they are the same throughout the hotel. Also the sofa bed is fine for kids but no way suitable for adults. Which of course they are not meant to be!
Would stay again purely for location.

We spent a night over the weekend in this hotel for our trip to Thomas Land. We staying with two kids in a room on 2nd floor looking over the pond. The room was clean and the bathroom facilities were good. But only let down by the super soft mattress and poor sofa-bed. Also the hotel was generally very busy at Saturday night with people constantly banging/knocking the front entrance door from 1am to 3am in the morning and chatting loudly while they were waiting for the night porter to let them in. Because of this disturbance, although the breakfast was good but we didn't have a good night sleep and we would consider staying at different hotel next time. Overall not bad for what we are paying for.

We stayed for one night in a double room with a sofa bed for our daughter. This was a stopover from lincolnshire to cadburys world. The hotel is easy to find close to the centre of Tamworth next to a 'snowdome' and is an impressive modern looking hotel. The entrance is clean and modern and the staff on reception were friendly. The lifts up to our room were spotless as was the corridors and public areas. The room is basic typical holiday in fare but is fresh and modern, warm and comfortable. There was a view of the lake, the bathroom was warm and modern with no bath but a large walk in shower. Costs are kept down by having no toiletries or biscuits but we knew this and were quite happy about it. Breakfast was what we expected with rotary toasted bread, croissants and continental items, cereals and scrambled egg, beans and sausages. Overall breakfast was just what we wanted. We walked the short distance into Tamworth through a really impressive park area (great for kids) and ate at a wetherspoons which was cheap and cheeful. Tamworth itself is a mix of old and impressive and modern and ugly (a bit like me!). Checkout was easy and friendly. Overall we were really impressed with the holiday inn Tamworth.

We arrived at the hotel late on a friday night with 2 children, the staff were very pleased and friendly which was a lovely welcome after being on the road for hours! When getting to our room i found there was no cot for my youngest, as soon as i phoned down to reception a cot was brought up within 5 mins.
Myself and my husband hadnt eating before getting to the hotel and the staff offered delivery leaflets and cutlery as there was no food availabe.
Very comfortable nights sleep. And to top it off breakfast was lovely and a great way to start the day!!
Will definetly be going back :-)

The hotel overall was acceptable but the absolutely diabolical bed and sofa bed meant we could not sleep. As a family we all struggled and quite frankly when this was highlighted to staff the response was poor.
We were informed the hotel knew the beds were too soft and were in the process of providing bed boards when guests told them of an uncomfortable bed. Surely preventing the complaints by making sure the beds were comfortable prior to a guest arriving would be the best idea?
We were spoilt because prior to this stay we had spent 2 nights in a Premier Inn with their good night sleep guarantee. This meant their beds were very comfy, even the sofa bed our son stayed on.

Great for our one nite stay after a day at Drayton Manor. Lots of amenities nearby for the family to enjoy, especially the snowdome. Room was really clean and shower was huge !! Good facilities at the hotel and staff were really friendly and helpful. Would say that once the sofa bed is made up for the kids the room is a bit tight and it was hard to get to the window or curtains once it was made up as it blocked the way. Breakfast was good but they could respond quicker to demand as they did run out of cutlery and plates and were slow to refill the hot breakfast. Overall it was reasonably priced and comfortable for a one nite stay, would say that anymore than that would become tiresome due to lack of space if you have kids. Also they could offer free wi-fi like other hotels instead of charging for it !!.

The hotel is clean and tidy and offers excellent value for money. We used it as a base for visiting family and friends, so we didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel but it met our needs and I would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting clean and comfortable accommodation in Tamworth.

No restaurant on a friday or sunday...so we had to get food elsewhere as soon as we checked in that friday evening, which was a shame as we had intended on having food there both evenings.
Did feel that a fridge in the room would have been useful for those of us with babies who have to have milk at all times of the day...so storing some in the room would have been good.
Staff very helpful upon check in, couldnt ask for anymore!
Room was lovely - particularly the showers which were great.
Had a couple of lamps not working in room which we had to report twice as first time round no one came to fix/replace bulbs.
Breakfast was plentiful (husband disappointed no bacon on offer though) but everything was hot and fresh, and we enjoyed what we had - thank you!
On the whole good value for money though!

The staff were extremely helpful when we were trying to plan our day out to drayton manor with 2 children, we thought that for the price the rooms they were lovely and homely for our children we will definitely consider the hotel again ! Also a free hot breakfast which was well organised and and overall comfortable stay
