Overpriced at £125 per night for the standard of room
Please also state you need buggy/child access as our original room (which we changed, had no elevator access)

Been coming here for years with family. Price does seem to be getting a little expensive these days. Having said that, its a great buffet breakfast on weekends and really nice being able to use the adjacent pool and spa facilities.

We chose this hotel for its location close to Skipton and the Yorkshire dales. That was great apart from being located on a busy road. They had no family rooms overlooking the pleasant canal on the back.
The air con didn’t work so had to open the windows which made it quite noisy even thought the night.
The restaurant had good service from the staff but was over priced for what was served.
The swimming pool was closed due to a fault for the 3 days we were there which was a real shame as that’s one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel over others in the area. Our young daughter was really disappointed.
Overall it was a pleasant stay but we didn’t feel we got good value for money.

Hotel was nice but we stayed on the top floor and I don't think the rooms on this level have been renovated yet, opposed to other rooms which other members of my family stayed in. Overall quite comfortable however the cleanliness of the bathroom in particular could have been better. The room was quite outdated and the bathroom definitely needs updating.
There was a big wedding on the 2nd day of my stay, so breakfast on day 1 was not in the restaurant; instead being in a conference room. Breakfast was ok but nothing special.
Overall is was ok but a little dissappointed after seeing their website and photos.

Short stay with grandson . Hotel chosen because pool available . Very friendly staff and large room with lovely canal view . Ate in the restaurant and the food was very good including the child’s meal which was substantial as he’s 9 . The bar areas were pleasant and the restaurant overlooking the canal lovely The room itself though spacious was a little dated as was the pool changing rooms etc . The toiletries were also very basic . The beds are comfortable and nice soft towels however and was adequate for our needs . Wi-Fi worked well .

Booked the hotel even though its much more expensive than others near by specifically because it had a pool(our grandaughter lives to swim)
It doesnt. The pool is a seperate fitness club next door.
On arrival at 3.30 we phoned to book in to use the pool as wed been told to by hotel reception.
I explained me and my child wanted to come for a swim ,they said thered been an incident and to try again at 7 pm.
I phoned again at 7 to see if we could go over and they said yes.
We got ready and walked over.
When we arrived the staff said sorry no children after6!
I explained that id phoned and been told to go after 7 and they said we shouldntve been told that.
I explained wed only booked the hotel as it had a pool for my grand daughter and they said they was a seperate business from the hotel and had their own rules!
Even though it was their desk id phondd earlier.
Very very disappointed.
My grand daughter was really upset.

Our family room was very comfortable and well equipped. Unfortunately there were soiled marks on either side of the bathroom door. Additionally, on our 2nd morning, glasses from the bar remained in the room and the bed had been given only a cursory 'shake and make'. Ordinarily I would not have batted an eyelid, but the London room rates had set my expectations somewhat higher.
I would suggest that the rooms are a little 'tired' and would benefit from a spring clean and update. The hotel is well placed and the staff, polite and efficient.
It's decent, but overpriced, but as there isn't much competition for similar hotels/facilities in the area, understandable.

Booked for a family visit to skipton. First impressions of the hotel were not good. The hotel lobby and corridors are very dark and dated and not particularly welcoming. The room decor was also very dated. I am not a huge fan of navy blue and mustard yellow as a colour scheme. Having said this, the staff were really nice and friendly, the bed was very comfortable with nice white, crisp cotton linen. The room was clean, the power shower really good and big fluffy towels were provided. The cooked breakfast was also superb.

Super value for money-large family room, which was very clean. Comfy bed. Lovely breakfast and plenty of choice and food was fresh. Used pool, which was great-changing area clean. Good location for getting around by car. Canal path at back for walking into town.
