The room was really neat, but we had to ask to get the fold out bed made up, then ask for a bigger duvet for it. Staff very friendly though, and gave the family ice-cream on arrival which was nice. They also made sure we were aware of discounts we could use locally. The only negative was it was squash not juice with breakfast which was a tiny issue.

Nice staff, good location but the room was falling apart. Black mould & thick limescale in bathroom, window handle broken, chair stained and filthy. Worst of all an electrical plate with a cover hanging off seemed a potential danger for kids with small fingers.

I was a little disappointed with the hotel. Checking in welcome was not very welcoming but very matter of fact. The hotel is very tired and needs sprucing up. Carpet in the room needed replacing a long time ago. The room and bathroom were fine for me alone but I wouldn’t stay here with my wife and children. Totally different experience with Henry when I was checking out. Very smiley, friendly and helpful keeping my luggage for a few hours.

We stayed with our 8 month baby and the staff were great. They really accommodated us well and were always very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was yummy too.

Great service as always. Find the beds a little uncomfortable- premier inn beds are better - would like a shower cubicle without a curtain - perhaps bathrooms could do with upgrading. Love the hairdryer, iron and board. Love the fact we can get free hot drinks and pastries on the reception area and there are things for children to play with. Always very clean and in an excellent location.

Very friendly, helpful staff, the location ideal for shopping, dining and sights. Rooms clean and comfortable and breakfast choices good. Only negative was young children running around the bar after midnight.

This place really had everything you need and did some things well...breakfast and amenities for children. I just found for the price, the room was shabby...chipped pain, stained and a very outdated bathroom. Also, quite noisy.So if location and basic needs are all you require, this is fine. It really is central.

Two children sharing a small foldout bed. Wifi was being upgraded so none available - teenager!! Staff were lovely. Breakfast was great. Close to shopping and restaurants.

We liked how the hotel rooms were affordable and worth the money, close to the historic dockyards, good discounts on nearby restaurants. The only downside was the breakfast in the morning, not a lot of options for children and the scrambled eggs came out of a jug.
