The Milestone Hotel

Cannot say enough about the wonderful experience we had here.The hotel is a classic first rate boutique hotel. Beautifully furnished with beautiful Elie Lambert paintings and lovely attention to detail right down to fresh flowers in the elevators. My sister and I felt like family, fussed over and treated like princesses for the week we spent at the Milestone. Staff is first rate, kind and funny like the best kind of family. The rooms are extremely comfortable with comfy bedding and lovely amenities such as Floris soaps, lotions and hair care products. Despite being full at the time of our stay, we never heard a peep from neighboring rooms. The two doormen Steve and Tim sent us off in the morning and welcomed us “home” each evening like doting uncles. Angelo in the Stables Bar was a wizard with the cocktails and exceptionally charming. Highly recommend the Milestone… I look forward to returning.

Cannot be compared to any other luxury hotel I have stayed at previously. Exceptional in every way. Everything down to the finest detail has been considered and catered for to ensure the best possible stay. Nothing is 'conventional', staff are very friendly and attentive, able to gauge how you are feeling and recommend/cater accordingly. Only a good working environment could foster this atmosphere. I am (almost) ashamed to admit I spent the majority of my time with Angelo and his team in the confines of the enchanting barroom, lured by the espresso martinis and good banter. I grew up in hotels and guest houses as a child in St Andrews - but the Milestone is in a different league entirely. The head porter (whose name escapes me) - was an absolute gent, and deserves an honourable mention. Wouldn't look elsewhere for my next stay!

We splurged to stay at this hotel for our family trip to London, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and our rooms were comfortable and luxurious. It's a 6-minute walk to the nearest tube stop, or less for the bus. The helpful doorman will call a cab for you if you prefer.

The best and most important thing was the staff. They were “All” Absolutely wonderful!! We were treated like family, No, Better than family!! Would highly recommend the Milestone hotel! If you have the opportunity to stay there, do not let it pass!!

From Steve's truly Londoner welcome at the front entrance of this wonderful establishment - and (currently) my favourite in the Red Carnations Hotel Group - i know why it was worth returning to such a family oriented Home from Home. I'm very grateful they made my stay wxtra special and gave my Mother a wonderful time full of memories she will talk about for years to come. Thank you Emma (Front Desk), John (Concierge), Grant, Paolo, Donna (Restaurant), Heather and Lilu (Bar) and the great Bobby (Maintenance). They all helped to make my stay fantastic. I'm looking forward to returning again soon.
