The Mayfair Townhouse – by Iconic Luxury Hotels

When you arrive at the entrance it looks opulent, and so begins a decadent experience. The hotel is elegantly furnished throughout with a whimsical twist on their art work. Highly amusing if you have even a passing understanding of the classics but with clever modernising 'tweaks'. The staff are a real asset to them. Sometimes in opulent hotels there is an air of faux entitlement, but here we get the sense the hotel deliberately employs characters, and we felt they genuinely enjoyed their jobs which added to our experience. One downside that was turned around, was the bar ran out of any beers the night before but the following afternoon this had not been rectified. We spoke to the Manager who instantly sent someone out to buy our preferred choices of beers, impressed. The classic rooms are snug but goodness me the bed and bedding is beyond comfortable! The satellite signal was a bit hit and miss depending on the channel, and (I kid you not) depends if the bathroom door was being shut during your viewing ... bit random! I took a video just in case it continued but bizarrely the BBC channels were fine. The breakfast is top notch with a specific buffet and a great choice of a la carte options. The atmosphere is relaxed and once again the staff are engaging and attentive. The location is ideal for exploring central London whether by taxi or on foot. We would definitely stay here again,

Disappointment. We arrived without any acknowledgment of our arrival. We were tired and struggled to get into the lobby without any help. The room assigned was a handicapped room and did not have a shower wall; just an open hole in the floor! The closet was tiny and smelled of damp. There was building going on next door so it was noisy. They charged us about £90 more per night than quoted and confirmed on your site. I am taking it up with management but have not had time as we have been traveling in Spain. We went because Condé Nast had recommended them so highly. They have some work to do with customer service. We come from a hospitality family and know! One highlight: The breakfast was excellent.

Perfect stay. Had 2 rooms with our kids ages 8 and 6. Rooms and bathrooms were great. People are so nice. Lots of nice little local restaurants close by. Would highly recommend

This was my first visit to Mayfair townhouse and I really loved it. Location was great staff very welcoming and efficient . Will diffinitely return. I go to London 20-25 times a year for 40 years for business and visiting family. Pleased I have found a new place to stay😀

My family and i loved every moment at this property. The staff were outstanding and their friendliness and service was over and above any treatment we have received elsewhere. Gary was just brilliant. Thank you all for making this a very special trip.
