We booked a superior family room and were very disappointed when we were shown to our room two floors below ground level. The basement room came complete with a false window and the sounds of the tube stop below. A strong sewer smell occurred on the first night, which was fixed after we raised the issue with Management. The room is well below the 4 stars I would expect from a Hilton. This is a reflection on the property and not the staff who were very helpful and friendly

Please avoid the family rooms. They are in the basement. The first room we stayed in had a strong smell of sewer and they couldn’t move us until the next day. We ask if it was possible to get two regular room and we’re willing to pay extra. But we had to pay full price for and additional room - we were obviously hoping for some discount as we had stayed one night in the smelly room. That room also has a blood stain on the bed sheet. We were moved to one of the other family rooms - a nice room. But the area is very noisy in general as you can hear the elevator quite clearly. Also I think maybe there is some kind of storage room that is used very frequently - also during the night. At least it was very noisy during our - which of course could have been a coincidence. But the hotel is overall nice and the staff also.

We had booked a family room. Upon our arrival, we noticed a strong sewer odour in the bathroom. The staff offered us two rooms instead. Our family room was a long and a double sofa bed. The rooms they provided us were two doubles. Had a terrible sleep! The staff was helpful in providing luggage storage for us, but I was disappointed that we weren’t provided better beds. I feel we were down graded.

We had a family room and it had no window. We were in the basement and a fake window was installed to make it look like we had one but it was stuffy and very weird not being able to see outside at all. We only stayed 2 nights. Had it been a longer stay I would have requested a new room.

Had a family room for 4 which was located in the basement with a fake window. There are 4 family rooms served by a locked door and a hallway. The noise from all the doors was really bad. It shook our door and sounded like someone was trying to get into our room several times a night.
Housekeeping also knocked on our door at 9am on our last day, then again at 11am even though checkout was not until 12. Felt like we were being harassed to leave.
No dressing gowns as in the description.
Cleanliness of the room was fine but the stairs leading down to the bssement rooms didn't look like they'd been vacuumed for a while. There was the end of a silicone nozzle on the stairs when we arrived on the Friday that was still there when we left on the Sunday!
The bar is very limited, not the place to have a nightcap, no draught beers.
Great location but avoid the basement family rooms if you want any sleep while you're there.

Very conveniently located, one underground station is just next door, another is a few minutes walk away. Lots of dining options on Bayswater road. Had a family room which is pretty big and comfortable, the only thing is that such rooms are only available at basement level. Loved the shower as the pressure was excellent. We heard the breakfast was good hence tried it one morning… you’d be happier with Mac Donald’s which is a few minutes away. Overall we would still recommend this hotel.

We had a family suite where we were escorted to the basement level. We felt certain that if there was a fire we would never escape. The room was cramped the carpet warm and dirty and every so often you would get a waft of sewage. Not sure if this is standard London but the hotel was very disappointing. Only upside was the front desk personnel who were very nice and helpful.

I choose this hotel for a family trip to London.
I try to choose Hilton in every trip or vacation for many reasons, but mainly because I know that when you stay at Hilton you should have a peace of mind with every thing concerning the stay: cleaness, accesability to the city main attractions and transportation, service and food. I was in many Hilton hotels and almost every time I had a good and even great experience. With this hotel i’m very uncertain.
From the positive perspective the hotel is located in a fantastic place, literally on the Tube. You get out of the hotel and of you are in the tube. Quick access to all London can offer. Moreover, just over the road is the Hyde park. You can enjoy morning or evening runs, walking or riding in London’s biggest park.
The room are in good shape even tough their are some cracks here and there. The service is off the roof !! We had the family room at the beginning, but because these room are located in the low level of the hotel, the windows are tanned and you can’t see anything outside, and you can literally here a low sound of the trains. The Hotel team made his outmost in order to move us to higher floors into two separated rooms, with no additional fee.
But having said that the breakfast wad poor. The selection was narrow and the quality wasn’t as of Hilton. There was only one coffee machine and one morning the granola was missing because they didn’t have it (??)
And finally the price - for this hotel the price is not cost effe
