Crowne Plaza London Ealing, an IHG Hotel

We booked this hotel as we were wathching england at Wembley that evening. Location wise the hotel is ideal for this as it was a short taxi ride away. Overall the hotel itself is not bad but not great either. The family room we booked for myself, son and brother was a great size with plenty of space for all of us so thumbs up on that, however the furnishings in the room are very tired and some of the decor needs attention for example stains on the walls and peeling wallpaper. The bathroom facilities were great, we had a bath and seperate shower. The main bed was comfortable and blankets provided adequate HOWEVER, the pull out sofa bed was horendous! Not only was the mattress the thickness of a sheet of paper, when we pulled the bed out the sheet/mattress protector had a nasty looking yellow stain on it, and the mattress itself was covered in stains. Also we was not provided with and blankets or pillows for the pull out bed. We immediately informed reception and to there credit they came up within a couple of minutes and changed the stained sheet with a clean one as well as providing us with bedding. My brother who "slept" on it said it was the worst nights sleep he had ever had. The buffet breakfast was very nice and restaurant very comfortable. Overall the hotel represented ok value for money however i probably would not return until its given a refresh

This hotel was clean, staff supper friendly and helpful. We had a problem on the first day with the shower and they fixed it immediately. Price of the hotel was good and right next to a metro station. The only draw back was, it was far from city center. It worked for us because we had a family in the area, however if you are just a visitor, it is time consuming everyday to get to city center.

We had to book a last minute toon Due to a LHR flight cancellation. Expedia search said the hotel was 7.84 miles from the airport but it’s about twice that. We checked in at around 10pm to find our room was hotter than the sun and the ac didn’t work at all. No alternative family room And No portable fans meant we had to sleep with the windows open , with the accompanying soundtrack of racing cars and sirens to prevent any sleep. Team at breakfast are nice. Scrambled eggs were horrifying. Incredibly dated decor but clean. If it had been £150 you might have excused it but £350 for the night was a joke but given our cancelled flight we were at the mercy of booking engine lottery. Oh dear.

We spent almost 2 weeks here with our family. For the most part, it was a pleasant. I believe they may have been under staffed for the duration of our stay, but over all the stay was comfortable. Easy access to the tube - was great!
