It was a lovely 1 night stay with family and a dog. The rooms were large and comfortable and the staff very helpful. We had dinner in the bar area. There were no vegan options but the staff were able to adjust the ingredients on the menu items. The gym was excellent!

My wife and I needed a break, so chose a Spa Hotel. It’s a nice hotel but really needs to limit the amount of people if let’s into the pool. Saturday evening resembles a public baths, the noise level of children was anything but relaxing and the jacuzzi was out of action. The rooms are lovely, great shower, but the air-con didn’t work resulting in a very uncomfortable night. My biggest issue is when hotels have events on but don’t let you know - this Saturday was a prom or something I assume - so the amount of shouting and running down corridors really made the trip not worth the money. Nice hotel, but one and done for me.

Bitterly disappointed. Having used this hotel on numerous occasions when visiting from New Zealand. The room was freezing cold, was given a heater after complaining 2 days running but never offered another room. we invited family to stay with us from Birmingham in the disabled room which was also freezing. We had to wear our coats in the restruant and the reception area.
Food was cold as were the plates and communal areas.
A shortage of staff meant long waits for bar service. I appreciate its the off season but for a 4 star hotel it was sorely lacking. Will be looking for alternative accommodation on our next visit to the UK.

Is a nice place with many positives
Positives: lobby area and bars etc are all updated and nice.
Staff all seemed nice.
Pool is nice but one family/ disabled changing room with lockers in there is a little silly as many can’t get to their stuff as other families in there.
Bed for our child was nice.
Good space in rooms
Good options for hot food at breakfast but sausages were not great quality and overcooked.
Downsides:
Hallways and rooms are a bit dated.
Flushes on toilets are way too weak!! I know they are trying to save water but not good enough if you get what I mean.
Continentals stuff at breakfast was mostly gone when we arrived at 8:30am
Overall, it served it purpose for a one night stay but wouldn’t want to spend much longer.

The lobby area going up to the rooms had many doors and in/out. Extremely difficult when you have both kids and luggage.
The rooms were very dated and the carpet definitely needs an upgrade. The bathroom was mouldy. I I saw the cleaner in one of the rooms wiping the spoon with a towel, i would have expected these to be replaced and washed properly.
The staff at the dining room were very polite and helpful but the plates were disgusting and toaster area is one of a hotel that should be 1 star.
This is probably a 3 star hotel. Definitely not a 4 star

June 2023- Had a lovely family stay. We were fortunate enough to use our clubcard points to pay for the two night stay. We have used the hotel before, which is why it was our first choice. Great base to have some great days out in Kent. Facilities were fantastic. I treated myself to a spa treatment whilst my husband and daughter made use of the swimming pool. We are in the restaurant for the first night and enjoyed our meals, although do be prepared the menu is quite limited and at a high price point.
Our room 143, was kept nicely and was clean and quiet enough for us all to have a great nights sleep.
Staff were all friendly and made the stay for us.
For families staying, there is a large Sainsbury's next door which we used for snacks/ drinks for the room and day trips

Whilst the faculties were good and the communal areas where smart and tidy, the bedroom felt tired and uncared for and the beds were very uncomfortable, especially the sofa bed for the children. The wardrobe door was falling off its hinge and there was mess from a previous occupant in one of the drawers. Staff very friendly and accommodating, however, definitely understaffed in the bar.

We had a mixed experience in the hotel. We stayed 2 separate nights (on the way out to France and then on the way back).
The hotel is conveniently located form the M20 and also from a retail park (walking distance). Parking is easy on site (and free for guests)
The reception and common area on the ground floor is spacious and modern.
The corridors to the rooms look dated and the rooms feel dated also.
We slept ok and had no noise issue.
Reasons for the mixed experience are:
1) the overall dated feel
2) the breakfast (£15/head) is not great (not much choice, juices are hard to drink etc....)
3) on our second night, a single bed was literally just placed in the middle of the room with no effort whatsoever, making the room unusable unless you re-organize the room which is what I did (I didn't call reception as I needed swift action to enable our kids to settle in).
I took pictures and deleted them last night (I didn't realise it was possible to attach some to the review).
