Holiday Inn Express Harlow, an IHG Hotel

As you’d expect. Quite basic. Friendly staff. Kids pull out bed was disappointing. Extremely lumpy and uncomfortable, so the kids were up multiple times in the night - really it needs replacing. Breakfast was fine for free - but hot food only catered for meat eaters.

Pulled into the car park and it was swarming with rats ! I have never seen so many ! There where no parking spaces left so we where told to park on the gravel but out car was to low to get up the curb so we had to park in the multi story car park. Please go to room 216 and look at the fold out bed and please tell me how anyone can sleep on it ! It’s the equivalent of sleeping on a pile of scrap metal ! My kids couldn’t sleep on it so me and my wife tried to sleep on it un successfully. So we all had very little sleep. Also the noise from the police station opposite the hotel was very loud with people and traffic noise all night. Over all it was a very disappointing stay. All the other holiday inns we have stayed in have been great but this one is very bad and lets the hotel chain down.

Was a very big noise from the builder to 7pm . I had to call the reception at 7pm and talking to the staff about this problem. before this reception staff promised to 6.30pm will be quiet. I was with my family, my 3 year old daughter I am very unhappy about this hotel !

Great polite friendly comfy family room

We stayed in 2 rooms for 5 nights, the rooms were clean but dated. Unfortunately we were there with our children over a weekend. Saturday night saw drunk guests fighting and trying to kick down a door in the next door room to our children. A frightening experience with police coming in at 1am! The whole day on Sunday the lobby was full of people drinking, shouting, swearing and behaving badly. We will definitely not stay here again.
